Vulcuran: okay I was heading back to my room after talking with pluger about vampires

Vulcuran: I will do a quick change job on my clothes and spruce myself up alittle while I am waiting for Cassie

Vulcuran: okay head out of my room and down the hall head out of the castle
DMaster: ok you are at the front giant doors (open) of the castle
Vulcuran: well I am gonna go outside
DMaster: Some clouds float bye, bright blue sky and it is warm and nice

cavern... well hole in the earth, or a hatch... something in the ground...!

DMaster: His skin is very smooth, unnaturally and milky white. He has white hair,
forboding red eyes and is about your size

DMaster: FAYLLEN: *voice is eerie* we have no idea how many of these creatures are down
there, so attacking them in their own lair would pretty much be suicide.
Vulcuran: Vulc: so what you propose is going in there with a small group then
DMaster: Fayllen glances at you with an annoying look
DMaster: FAYLLEN: No. That would be Suicide.... We will hide by the hatch.
DMaster: FAYLLEN: let them come out, once they hear their own getting
attacked they will surely all come out to assist.
DMaster: FAYLLEN: They are an extremely loyal bunch
Vulcuran: Vulc: I should go prepare M'lord
Vulcuran: looking at the king
DMaster: KING: Everyone get ready meet back here in 1 hour

DMaster: A small well trained army

Vulcuran: since we are dealing with vampires

DMaster: Its Pluger with a shit eating grin on his face

DMaster: PLUGER: *hands you a vial* Here ya go...
DMaster: PLUGER: It like holy water but it is similar to coating... so it won't drip
off the sword
Vulcuran: Vulc: we definately are gonna need it
Vulcuran: Vulc: but wont my flame tongue burn this stuff off
DMaster: no. The sword itself to your touch is not hot or burning
DMaster: Its when used in a battle that it does damage internally of the enemy
DMaster: PLUGER: Vampires are not vunerable to fire really anyways... this
stuff will double your damage on any undead creature.
DMaster: Pluger walks in your room
Vulcuran: Vulc: guess I am about as ready as ready gets pluger except for coating the sword
Vulcuran: Vulc: Just like the old days Pluger
DMaster: PLUGER: We can wait until we get there... *looking around the room*
DMaster: THe door is on the North wall. On the west wall is your nightstand, bed
and dresser. The Southwall has two large windows (shuttered most of the time) with a credenza of sorts underneath
with plants, a bowl for nick nacks and such. The East wall has your closet door, a few lanterns to keep the room
lit. The ceiling is 20 feet high and is very plain brick. No paintings or drapery.
DMaster: PLUGER: Not much for decorating huh?
Vulcuran: Vulc: nah just plain and simple
DMaster: PLUGER: *looks at you with a grin* fitting
Vulcuran: Vulc: did ya expect it to be more decorated
Vulcuran: smirking
Vulcuran: Vulc: sure this will be another adventure we can add to the books old friend
DMaster: PLUGER: Well lets get out to the throne room, this is going to be
a 2-3 hours walk
Vulcuran: grab the vial of holy water stuff and head to the throne room
DMaster: you two walk in and the Vampire Hunters are looking over the map
talking about their plan of attack
Vulcuran: listen in
Vulcuran: see what is said and stuff
Vulcuran: trying to stay focused
DMaster: FAYLLEN: We should most likely have most of the group on the backside
DMaster: So when they leave the hole they won't be looking that way
DMaster: ADDER: Agreed.
DMaster: ADDER: We can surmise that these Vampires are barbarians, and not civilized
DMaster: FAYLLEN: *nodding in agreement* Just by the way they kill, they are not
civilized, the Vampirism must of made them mad
DMaster: then in from the front door this striking woman walks in. In leather
pants, a dark cloak, pitch black hair red eyes and this jagged evil looking sword
Vulcuran: look that way
DMaster: she walks over to the two vampire hunters who are happy and surprised to
see her
Vulcuran: think I shall go stand with Pluger
DMaster: WOMAN: Yeah I guess they didn't need me in Rockdale... *rolling her eyes*
DMaster: They smile and laugh
DMaster: WOMAN: So we have a barbarian clan of vampires?
Vulcuran: Vulc: Pluger what ya think of all this
DMaster: PLUGER: *taken back a little* Another Damphiir cool
Vulcuran: smack him in the arm
DMaster: WOMAN: Quite a lineup out there, we never had that in any other town we help

DMaster: ADDER: Yeah they are giving us 30 or so well trained guards, 2 clerics,
2 knights and a Duke!
DMaster: WOMAN: *eyes perk up* Wow... this wont even be a challenge! *laugh*
Vulcuran: kinda still listening as I talk with pluger
DMaster: FAYLLEN: *looks over to you and Pluger standing there* Oh my apologies m'lords
DMaster: the woman turns to you two.

DMaster: A classic like beauty, very gaunt, skins is just silky smooth

DMaster: Everyone stops and watches you, some whisper, some even cheer.

DMaster: you make your way through the outer gates, and regroup.
DMaster: and in the distance you see Cassie and Xavier sparring just outside
their house.

DMaster: with amazing agility the two dip and dodge each other
Vulcuran: hope they dont see me anyways
DMaster: ummm you are walking with like 40 people
DMaster: its a small army... and you are less than 200 feet away... they will notice.
DMaster: The two stop look over
DMaster: both of them have bewildered looks on their face
Vulcuran: Vulc: lets get a move on Adder
DMaster: ADDER looks at you with an annoying look...

DMaster: XAVIER: I guess Nany Dillingham has some artifact that they wanted
DMaster: WYNESS: Oh my God... what else? They have a dragon down there that
hasn't eaten in a year?

DMaster: roughly 35 troops, 30 guards, 2 clerics, 2 knights and the Duke.
DMaster: Wansor and Pluger are standing off to the side talking
DMaster: Cassie is looking at you with a smirk

DMaster: CASS: Bet you wished we stayed home *giggles* ohhh Xavier, he never used to

DMaster: you notice she is kinda zoning out and shaking her head a bit... glancing over
to the 4 of them talking
DMaster: CASS: Now they know *smiling*

he knew OF the Sanguine Vial but he thought it was lost

DMaster: ADDER: Ok, well we seem to have a small delema
DMaster: ADDER: Our estimates for the clan would of been 5-6, now it could be any number.

DMaster: ADDER: Problem we have is that we think there is an insider that is
feeding information to the clan to keep them safe, that is why this had to be done quickly
DMaster: ADDER: I do not ask ANY of you to go into a battle where we do not know
the odds, so if you want to head back I completely udnerstand
DMaster: Everyone shakes there head no and step into line awaiting orders
Vulcuran: Vulc: well my duty is to camerondale
DMaster: Adder looks back at the two Damphiirs and says "Brave and noble
lot eh? We are not used to that"
DMaster: ADDER: He looks at everyone and smiles
Vulcuran: Vulc: Pluger are the men ready
DMaster: PLUGER; Yes Sire!
DMaster: WANSER: I got the back
DMaster: he runs to the back of the line
DMaster: It is about 20 o'clock
Vulcuran: look at the troops
Vulcuran: Vulc: I have never been good with speeches but what we do is for the safety and security of
all of camerondale
Vulcuran: Vulc: I want you all to remember that today as we go into this battle
DMaster: They all nod in agreement

Vulcuran: Vulc: now Adder with this new knowledge what is our next step
DMaster: ADDER: Same as before... except we need to stage are attack.
DMaster: ADDER: once the vampire or vampires come out, we will set an attack
into motion but
DMaster: ADDER; Leaving half the troops back for the others to come out
DMaster: so when they come out we can have the upper hand and the first strike
Vulcuran: Vulc: aye I agree
Vulcuran: Vulc: seems we are gonna need the upper hand
DMaster: The journey there is uneventful
Vulcuran: kinda stay quiet as we go along
DMaster: Everyone is quiet...
DMaster: You see Xavier and Cassie exchange glances, they have some communication link
Vulcuran: hand staying near my sword the whole time
DMaster: About 24 o'clock, Adder stops the party
DMaster: ADDER: Ok we are hear... just a stones throw is the hole
DMaster: The sun is setting and the two moons are rising
Vulcuran: Vulc: okay now what Adder *whispering*
DMaster: ADDER: With your permission I would like to set the troops up now
Vulcuran: Vulc: yes you may
DMaster: he nods and walks over to about half the troops
Vulcuran: keep looking toward the hole
DMaster: they walk a long circle around the hole and they set up a bit farther away
DMaster: He walks back, meanwhile the other troops are gearing up for the
initial attack, all 5 stars a few 3 stars and Wanser
DMaster: Pluger will lead the second charge with the 3 stars and archers.
Each group has a Cleric
DMaster: Xavier and Cassie go over to the first attack group and stand put.
DMaster: ADDER: M'Lord? I am putting you in the 2nd attack ok?
Vulcuran: Vulc: as you wish Adder you know where I will best serve
DMaster: he points you to go in a large circle
Vulcuran: go take my place in the second attack group
DMaster: The sun sets, the sky is a pink to a purple with it fading to twinkling stars.
DMaster: The two moons become more visable
Vulcuran: staying sharp

DMaster: The vampire hunters are in the initial attack
DMaster: Everyone goes on bended knee to wait
Vulcuran: kinda say a little prayer to animax
Vulcuran: and wait
Vulcuran: but stay sharp and focused
DMaster: So an hour passes and nothing, troops are getting anxious but they are patient
DMaster: a few of them switch knees
Vulcuran: stay sharp and focused and keep waiting
DMaster: another hour passes and nothing
DMaster: Adder tippy toes his way to you
DMaster: ADDER: we did not expect them to come out right away so it might be a
few hours, please let your troops know

DMaster: He nods and slowly walks through the line of 15 guys/girls and lets
them know whats going on

DMaster: Suddenly behind you, you hear blood curdeling screams, completely
taking you by surprise
DMaster: 4 of the archers in the back are being mangled by these ghoulish
vampire like things
DMaster: The troops whurl around
DMaster: PLUGER: Attack ATTACK!
Vulcuran: Vulc: Attack!!
Vulcuran: draw my sword
DMaster: You see close to 50 of them sprinting for the party
DMaster: 4 or so crept up and nabbed the archers
DMaster: the Archers are... very dead
DMaster: heads ripped off, throats ripped out, blood everywhere... it takes
some of the guards by surprise.
DMaster: the two groups engage, and surround you the second tier closes in and
attacks the backside of the swarming vampire clan
Vulcuran: start swinging at anything that engages me
DMaster: A male with long hair and pretty big fangs lunges at you
DMaster: rolling
DMaster: The vampire lunges, you were off balance a bit
Vulcuran: the dice hate me
DMaster: but recover the throw the creature aside... it tumbles down the slight
incline and engages with some one else
Vulcuran: staying focused
DMaster: A female with wild bloody teeth comes at you with a steely knife
DMaster: They are all screeching and making ungodly noices
DMaster: noises
Vulcuran: gonna take a swipe at her
DMaster: She jabs at you and you dodge it, with a return you swing and hit her
on the neck downwards
DMaster: plunging deep inside
DMaster: just than you remembered something
Vulcuran: yeah
DMaster: what DIDNT you do?
Vulcuran: I was suppose to be coating my weapon at the same time Cassie was
Vulcuran: and let me guess I didnt
DMaster: you never said you did... she actually still has the vial as far as you know
Vulcuran: damn it
DMaster: it still did damage and alot of it, but it would double with that on it
DMaster: The creatures arm goes limp and she drops her dagger, she is trying to regroup
and you have another attack, where?
Vulcuran: I am gonna aim for the head
Vulcuran: specifically the neck area
DMaster: ok you were off a bit and ran your blade across her
collarbone and did little to no damage
DMaster: she swipes with her claw
DMaster: aiming for your sword arm
DMaster: rips into the chain mail and into your skin
DMaster: it sends you stumbling back
DMaster: it hurts her as well
DMaster: her hand is missing a finger now and bloody...
DMaster: another creature comes from the side, you notice him and he attacks
Vulcuran: damn
Vulcuran: see if I can block that attack
DMaster: the original creature lunges at you and the other creature attacks
you at the same time
DMaster: you avoid the 2nd's attack
DMaster: but he struck and killed the first LOL
DMaster: so your first attacker is on the ground gurgling blood
Vulcuran: no time to laugh now
Vulcuran: time to go after the second attacker
DMaster: you have a +2 attack on the 2nd creature
DMaster: The creature tumbles away from your attack and regroups
DMaster: around you, you can see the battle is even right now
DMaster: Pluger is slashing through a creature next to you
DMaster: blood spurts everywhere
Vulcuran: stay focused on my attacker
DMaster: He has a rusty chipped broad sword
DMaster: he swings and it hits but chinks off your armor
Vulcuran: take a swing at his sword arm
DMaster: you completely miss gotta check how bad you miss
Vulcuran: damn dice hate me
DMaster: you swing full force, fully expecting to hit him and you miss sending
you off kilter. you catch yourself with your hand but the attacker gets a free attack
Vulcuran: arrrrrrggggg
DMaster: A searing pain shoots down your back
DMaster: you see a sword appearing out of your chest
DMaster: Pluger cut the arm off of your attacker
Vulcuran: and down I go right
DMaster: it was a sneak attack, +2 with a double handed sword buy a large
vampire with black hair and black eyes
Vulcuran: damn like I said dice hate me
DMaster: you can barely see through stars and blurriness
DMaster: you stumble forward
DMaster: PLUGER: VULC!!!!!!!!!!
DMaster: Pluger wheels around and kicks the vampire off you who was ready to
lunch on your throat
DMaster: blood pours out you at a -2 HP rate
DMaster: the sword is removed and you hear a battle between pluger and the
creature behind you
DMaster: PLUGER: *betweens clangs and gashes* Cleric over here now!!!
Vulcuran: all I can do is hope they heal me
DMaster: You see more creatures coming from farther away
Vulcuran: not gonna serve much use at the moment
DMaster: another 5 or so
DMaster: you are on all fours vomiting blood
DMaster: you get kicked to the ground
DMaster: PLUGER: act DEAD! *clang - slash - rip*
Vulcuran: play dead
DMaster: you pass out
DMaster: you feel this warm peacefulness
DMaster: run through your body
DMaster: eyes open you still hear crazy howling and noises and commotion
DMaster: You see a male cleric lift your head up...
Vulcuran: look up
DMaster: CLERIC: Get up m'lord, get up *he looks scared shitless and white as a ghost*
Vulcuran: get up
DMaster: CLERIC: *runs away froma creature but drops your sword next to you*
DMaster: you have half your HP's back
Vulcuran: grab my sword
DMaster: you have a shot at a creature chasing the cleric
Vulcuran: well I am gonna take my shot then
DMaster: +2
DMaster: backstab
DMaster: you rip through the creature
DMaster: almsot tearing him in half
DMaster: you are a good 20 feet off where the battle is right now, the cleric
dragged you away
Vulcuran: finish the job on this creature
DMaster: the creature tries to wheel around but is almost disemboweled so you
get another attack +2
DMaster: his head flies off with blood spurting everywhere
DMaster: the cleric shreiks and heads to the front of the battle
Vulcuran: look around
DMaster: you see that the battle is all but won at this point
DMaster: It was hit or miss but your parties experience and skill won out
Vulcuran: move back to the group
DMaster: You watch Cassie and Xavier fight a creature together, the creature didnt
have a chance, it went after Cassie, she dodged, Xavier rips its head off and kicks it to the dirt
DMaster: Cassie lands her Sai into the creature as it howls
Vulcuran: staying focused
DMaster: bodies everywhere, the moonlight glistens the blood that is just EVERYWHERE
DMaster: Pluger and Wanser are walking through the carnage and jamming
anything that moves
Vulcuran: keep focused
Vulcuran: and staying sharp and head over to pluger
DMaster: Adder is tending a few wounds he got. The Damphiirs stand side by
side eyes glowing red, catching there breath
Vulcuran: keep watching
Vulcuran: as I approach pluger
DMaster: He glances up at you
DMaster: PLUGER: I never want to see you dead ever again!
DMaster: CASS: What?!?
Vulcuran: Vulc: well me either Pluger
DMaster: your chainmail is half off, scars on your arm that is bleeding a little and a
huge scar in the middle of your chest
DMaster: Cassie runs over looking at you in disbelief
Vulcuran: Vulc: add another scar to my collection eh Pluger
DMaster: He nods, looks at Cassie and starts to walk away
Vulcuran: lean on my sword alittle
DMaster: CASS: How did you DIE may I ask?
Vulcuran: Vulc: sword went through my chest Cassie
Vulcuran: Vulc: from one of those damn creatures
Vulcuran: rub the scar on my chest
DMaster: She runs her fingers across the fresh scar
DMaster: CASS: *shaking her head* dam..... *kisses you*
DMaster: She walks over to Pluger and turns him around and hugs him fiercely
DMaster: He was taken back a bit by that but gives her a hug back
Vulcuran: approach Adder and his group
DMaster: She knows he saved your ass
Vulcuran: he is good for doing that
DMaster: ADDER: Didn't see that sneak attack coming, that pretty much seals it...
there was is some sort of informent or insider.
DMaster: ADDER; NO ONE could of known about this in time if they didn't
Vulcuran: Vulc: but who is the question Adder
Vulcuran: still rubbing my new scar a bit
DMaster: ADDER: I do not know your court or your castle well... it is either
an eavesdropper or someone with premium knowledge
Vulcuran: hmmmmm
Vulcuran: Vulc: I will have to give it some thought
Vulcuran: Vulc: what is our next step adder
DMaster: ADDER: We go in
Vulcuran: Vulc: let me get fixed up alittle and we will go in
DMaster: ADDER: With all due respect M'Lord, its going to be a corridor not many
people at one time
Vulcuran: Vulc: I figured as much a small group go in
DMaster: FAYLLEN and WYNESS will go in... from short distances they can sense Vampires
DMaster: Unfortunately it wasn't until too late did they sense the ones we
just ran through
DMaster: ADDER: Permission to bring Xavier and Cassie M'Lord
Vulcuran: Vulc: that is up to them Adder if they want to go
DMaster: He nods and walks over to them
DMaster: they agree and head to the hole
DMaster: the Hole is about 10' X 10'
DMaster: it is edged with stones like from an old farm house
DMaster: There is a large hatch that is currently open
DMaster: and the smell is pretty foul
Vulcuran: looking at the hole
DMaster: Looks like a short drop to a floor with dirt and some smoothed stones,
once was the floor of a great hall
DMaster: FAYLLEN and WYNESS drop down in there... in fact it is like they floated
DMaster: ADDER: *mumbling* show offs....
DMaster: He climbs down. Cassie and Xavier jump down shortly after
Vulcuran: well being dhampirs and all
DMaster: PLUGER: M'Lord
Vulcuran: Vulc: yes Pluger
DMaster: PLUGER: 12 Dead, 10 wounded and getting healed
Vulcuran: Vulc: glad it wasnt more pluger
DMaster: PLUGER : This battle did not go well *gritting his teeth but still in position*

Vulcuran: Vulc: keep the troops on alert for anything

DMaster: mail is all shot, you could get it fixed, but it would probably not be as good
as a new one

DMaster: there is torch light from down the corridor
DMaster: The sky is clear the wind is a little cooler just off the plains

DMaster: PLUGER: *walks over* Yes Sire?
Vulcuran: Vulc: do you have anymore of that holy water like goop
DMaster: PLUGER: *rumages around in his sack...*
DMaster: Hands you a vial of clear liquid
Vulcuran: coat my sword with it
DMaster: PLUGER: Expecting more action?
Vulcuran: Vulc: I gotta a feeling we might pluger
Vulcuran: Vulc: cant be too careful
Vulcuran: Vulc: and besides I aint ready to see Animax anytime soon

DMaster: Agrees with you and pears down into the hole
DMaster: just than
DMaster: Cassie pops out
DMaster: brushing herself off
DMaster: CASS: Its a maze of caverns and rooms
DMaster: CASS: we met our first vampires and those Damphiirs can make
short work of them
DMaster: CASS: This is going to take a long time,
Vulcuran: Vulc: well we will do what needs to be done then I guess
Vulcuran: Vulc: just be careful will you
DMaster: CASS: I will *smiles at you*
DMaster: She jumps back down into the hole and you see her run off
DMaster: PLUGER: *nodding his head* sweet
Vulcuran: Vulc: and what are you 'sweeting' about pluger
DMaster: PLUGER: *looks at you* errr nothing! *walks away to the other
troops to tell them whats going on*
Vulcuran: staying focused on the hole
Vulcuran: with sword drawn
Vulcuran: and keep a watch
DMaster: After a few hours (its 330 oclock)
DMaster: FAYLLEN jumps up out of the hole and everyone jumps a bit
DMaster: FAY: My apologies....
DMaster: FAY: we are not even close, we need rest there has been some nests of
vampires in there but this appears to be a network of clans all connected
Vulcuran: Vulc: holy crap
DMaster: FAY: We beleive there is some intellegent leader to this outfit we
just got to find it. I am assuming it is the individuals Xavier met with.
Vulcuran: Vulc: so we should set up camp then
Vulcuran: Vulc: gonna be here awhile
DMaster: FAY: Myself, Adder and Wyness all think they put their eggs in one
basket and attacked us
DMaster: FAY: I think you can leave some guards but you do not have to stay M'Lords
DMaster: FAY: This is our JOB, this is what we do
DMaster: Adder climbs out of the hole
DMaster: Wyness close after
DMaster: Xavier and Cassie climb out afterwards
DMaster: CASS: Oh my god... fresh air *breathes deep*
Vulcuran: Vulc: ummm okay adder we will post a few guards here
Vulcuran: wave to pluger
DMaster: Pluger walks over to you
DMaster: PLUGER: Yes Sire
Vulcuran: Vulc: I want the best of the best to stay here and guard
Vulcuran: Vulc: pick em out well Pluger
DMaster: PLUGER: Sire we only have a few *glances around* we came with
30 guards, 2 clerics and us
DMaster: PLUGER: 16 guards are left, 1 cleric and... us
DMaster: PLUGER: Of the 16, 10 of them can't fight... they are injured
DMaster: PLUGER: So we can leave the 6 here and move out the rest
Vulcuran: Vulc: well then get on it Pluger
DMaster: He nods and yells for the remaining guards he has a meeting with them
DMaster: Meanwhile Xavier and Cassie come to you
DMaster: ok
DMaster: XAV: Vulc... we are wiped we are heading back
DMaster: Cassie looks really tired... looks at you and winks.
Vulcuran: Vulc: we will be heading back soon as well.
DMaster: both of them have a gallon of blood on there outfits, face, hair, they
are dusty and gross
DMaster: They nod, pick up their gear and start walking towards home
Vulcuran: head back over to adder and his group
DMaster: PLUGER: Ok m'lord we have everything set... guards all around the hole
DMaster: we have 7 guards who can walk who will assist us in helping carry the
other wounded
Vulcuran: Vulc: good Pluger we will move out in a minute
DMaster: PLUGER: I will send some people back to get the dead.....
DMaster: *bites his lip and shakes his head*
Vulcuran: Vulc: not a word Pluger
Vulcuran: go over to Adder and the group
Vulcuran: Vulc: adder I just wanted to say to your group to be safe and safe return
DMaster: ADDER: Thank you m'lord I sincerely appreciate all the help
Camerondale has afforded us, I am truly sorry for the loss you have taken
Vulcuran: Vulc: well could have been alot worse
