Locations – Towns & Villages

Hamlets, Villages and Towns around Legon

Locations of interest, and ones that the current major campaign has visited or knows about. This is only the Cities, and they are defined, per Legon:

  • 01- 400 Hamlet
  • 401–1,000 Village
  • 1,001–2,500 Small town
  • 2,501–7,500 Large town
  • 7,501 or more Would be under Cities

Somethings to think about; Population is general idea of how many people live there. Even though this is how I do it, listing a location with 4,987 people is a bit too exact (it is the only way I felt it would work the best). Why? Because everyday someone dies, moves out, give birth, moves in, etc. Are you going to update it everyday of the campaign? Even though the number seems exact, it is like a census that is a general idea. The mix is split between three races because there are only three major races on Legon. Government is a bit difficult to nail down, but I am going to try and give each location a good idea of how it is run. Commerce is about what players can get in the location, generally speaking. Is it barebones, maybe rations and some horseshoes or wide varieties and rare items along with everything else the realm has to offer.

This is still a bit in disarray. I have a lot to add to the “Interesting People” and “Interesting Places.” But it is near complete; if the campaign has mentioned it or has visited the location, it should be on one of the three pages – Cities, Towns and Villages & Unique Locations.

  • Nezzondale

Location: Middle Eastern Legon - Kingdom of Camerondale
Population: Large Town 6,212 (77% Human, 19% Elf, 4% Dwarf)
Government: Loosely under the rule of Camerondale. Monarchy. Run by a Mayor with a bit stricter rules than normal.
Commerce: Much more diverse than it should be for this size of town, but because of it's location and a favorite stopping point for travelers, it gears itself for anything, simple as rations and torches to exotic like magical items and potions.

The town lies at a crossroads of about where the Teeter Wind Plains end and the grasslands of Del Rosa begins. From this town, heading north will take you deeper into the heart of Camerondale. Heading south takes them into the western edge of the grasslands of Del Rosa towards Weston Gate. Heading East will take them into the Grasslands and for Delrosa. It is a popular stop spot for travelers.

They are not exactly friends with Camerondale and they have wanted their independence for some time. In turn, Camerondale has been hands-off for the most part allowing them to self govern.

When it comes time for taxes though.
