DMaster: You are in a semi-unconscious state. You feel the rain hitting you, your clothes soaking wet. The storm is in full throat, light flashes through your eye lids and the thunder screaming.

Chance: since I am semi-unconscious, I will let the Monks or Priests do their thing… will just see what I can see in my present condition.

DMaster: You are being carried on a stretcher like thing. Not much you can do right now, also the rain is getting in your eyes when you try to open them. Everything is cold, you are shivering. You can hear voices talking, some asking “what the hell happened?” “where did you find them.” You recognize the voice as Helynne.

Chance: well, I do remember her showing up

DMaster: yes, you seen her face in the pack

Chance: see if I can recognize any other voices

DMaster: Not off hand. In between you being conscious and unconscious, you notice you are slowing down, the rain stops hitting you and it gets quieter.

Chance: well the quietness means we are in the temple, I hope

DMaster: You are placed on an alter of sorts and eventually come too.

Chance: look around as I do

DMaster: The main temple chamber is 30×30 with doors on each wall. A double door on the far wall leading out. The temple ceiling goes to a peek in the middle. Torches blaze higher on the walls. The floor is marble, and the walls are a light tan, it is very bright and clean. Priestess Saundra is by your side, talking with a monk

Chance: Chan: Thank you, Priestess

DMaster: She glances down at you somewhat shocked that you are awake.
SAU: Oh Chance, you should not be awake
She waves her hand over your face and everything goes dark.

Chance: I will wait to see what I wake up to

DMaster: You eventually come too again.

Chance: look around again

DMaster: You are warm, but you have a stabbing pain in the stomach area. You see Saundra again, she seems to be at the main altar, praying.

Chance: Chan: ugg, we have to stop meeting like this, my Priestess

DMaster: Saundra stands up and turns, she almost glides over to you. Her face so pure, hair so bright blonde, her eyes so big and beautiful. She is wearing a practically see through flowing gown with the symbol of Animax hanging down around her neck.
SAU: Yes, sorry Chance this will hurt for a while. The dagger broke inside of you. You can sit up now… be careful, easy.

Chance: Chan: were you able to get the dagger out or am I gonna be stuck with it inside me?
Carefully sit up

DMaster: SAU: No we got it out, we couldn’t have that rattling around in there could we?
She smirks, puts her hand on your shoulder watching you intently, to see how much pain you are in.

Chance: Chan: agreed, my thanks Priestess

DMaster: You glance to the other side of the temple room, you see Cassie. She walks over to you looking like she was dunked in a water tank, soaked to the bone. She has a towel in her hand, wiping down her hair.

Chance: Chan: M’lady

DMaster: The look on her face is one of confusion and pride, shaking her head. She smiles.
CASS: I am not sure what happened. But from what we can figure out, you saved Rohlia’s life.
Her eyes are transfixed on you, smile getting bigger.
CASS: We are truly blessed to have you here right now, you have… saved…
She stumbles over the words, and she looks down.
CASS: You seem to be in the right place at the right time.
You can still hear the thunder outside, some flashes through the window, wind is hitting the temple pretty good

Chance: Chan: Well tell that to that dagger blade.
Wince a bit touching my bandage, chuckling.

DMaster: Cassie puts a hand on your shoulder and smiles.
CASS: You are…
Smiles even wider.
CASS: Amazing.

Chance: Chan: Well let’s not talk crazy, I…

DMaster: You get interrupted. Cassie leans in and softly hugs you.
CASS: Amazing (softly)

Chance: Hug her back.
Chan: I think she helped save mine as well. If she hadn’t thrown me that sword, who knows what would of happened.
looking around the temple

DMaster: That ignites Cassies curiosity full throttle:
CASS: So what happened? Why were you there to begin with? Did you know she was going to be there?

Chance: Chan: well. I was sworn to secrecy by her, I met her earlier in the day out back of the Inn. She showed up early and didn’t want to be compromised. So she told me to meet her at that place at the appointed time, to talk further?
Chuckle and wince with the pain.
Chan: It was one hell of a conversation.

DMaster: She chuckles a bit and nods her head.
CASS: She didn’t feel safe.
The Baroness bites her lip
CASS: I don’t think anyone should feel safe

Chance: Chan: what I want to know is how that Priestess of Finster knew she was gonna be there.

DMaster: Cassie pauses a moment, looks around the room, She looks caught between anger, frustration and curiosity.
CASS: I honestly do not know how this, Priestess, gets this information. Possibly an inside mole… but that would not explain how she knew Rohlia was here.
Shakes her head

Chance: Chan: well, her goons certainly didn’t like the outcome of that encounter
Look over to Rohlia.
Chan: is Rohlia okay by the way?

DMaster: Cassie looks over as well, concern on her face.
CASS: We think
She looks over to Saundra
CASS: She had some grievous wounds.
The Priestess of Animax nods in agreement
SAU: She is still under… but she seems to be breathing good now. It is perplexing, for some reason I can’t heal her completely, only in sections. It could be something that Dark Priestess did to her.

Chance: Chan: well that Priestess is a nasty piece of work. Who knows what she did. All I know is that she was, a little pissed, to see me kill another one of her creatures.

DMaster: Cassie nods her head, leans in and quietly.
CASS: you are making some serious enemies

Chance: Chan: it seems so
look down at where I got hit with the dagger

DMaster: You have bandages wrapped around that area. You are shirtless and only have your pants that are dirty, wet and blood stained.

Chance: Frown a little.
Chan: I apologize for my appearance M’lady

DMaster: Cassie gives you a weird smile then rolls her eyes
CASS: Give me a moment
She steps back, looks you over.
CASS: Unacceptable. To the gallows with you!
She says lightening the mood a little. Saundra smirks and even chuckles.

Chance: Smile and shake my head.
Chan: Priestess, is it safe to say I can leave the temple?

DMaster: Saundra walks over.
SAU: Let me change the bandages first.

Chance: Chan: Alright, thank you.

DMaster: CASS: We have to talk before you leave this place, I’ll leave you in capable hands.

Chance: Chan: As you say, M’lady

DMaster: CASS: Please, Call me Cassie, you more than earned it.

Chance: Chan: ummm, okay Cassie, you realize your the second person that told me to call them by their first name
Go to follow her to the door.

DMaster: She pauses…
CASS: Second?
SAU: Hey! Sit still
Cassie looks at you inquisitively. Saundra grabs your arm and brings you back on to the altar.

Chance: Chan: sorry Priestess, I forgot and yes, second person
just shoot her a look like she should know who.

DMaster: Cassie smirks, shaking her head. Then walks out the door

Chance: Chan: is this gonna take much longer, Priestess?

DMaster: Gives you a scolding look.
SAU: I’ll be done, when I am done.
The Priestess finishes up the bandage, gives you a warm smirk.
SAU: You are all set, now get out of my temple.
She says with a soft playful tone.

Chance: Chan: I am sorry, lot’s on my mind. Thank you Priestess, take good care of my friend there

DMaster: There is another alter of sorts, Rohlia is laying on it with a white sheet covering her and a monk is standing over her
SAU: We plan on it, might take some extra time, but she will be as good as new before too long.

Chance: go to the door Cassie went through

DMaster: You walk through and its a 10×12 room with a lantern in the corner. A huge symbol of Animax is on the one wall, some wonderful looking vine like plants in the corners. Cassie is sitting on a bench, looking like she is in deep thought

Chance: close the door behind me
Chan: Cassie?

DMaster: She comes too from deep thought.
CASS: Come sit
She pats the bench

Chance: I will take a seat on the bench

DMaster: CASS: I have asked Xavier to have your mom pack up her belongings, we want to take her with us when we head back
She lets out a big sigh
CASS: I feel she is in great danger

Chance: Sighing with regret
Chan: I agree, if anything was to happen to her, I… I… just wouldn’t know…
Shake my head, and look down.

DMaster: The Baroness nods in agreement.
CASS: You can come too, but not for a while. We need a presence here for the short term. Plugr and Valario are staying along with 8 guards.

Chance: Chan: I can?
kind of look at her in shock

DMaster: She looks at you, sees the excitement on your face.
CASS: Yes, as long as you want too. Britney is in the process of hiring two more people for the Inn

Chance: Chan: yeah, I really would love to go. Now that my Mom will be there, it wouldn’t make any sense to stay here.

DMaster: CASS: Well you might not be thanking me for too long, but that’s a conversation for another day.
She walks to the door, opens it and you don’t hear the thunder as much anymore, barely any flashes, but the rain is still coming down hard.
CASS: The storm is blowing itself out, and once the ocean calms down we are leaving. Might as well head back. There are two guards here to escort us.

Chance: Chan: Escort us? Why? That nasty bitch? Bring her on, I owe her one and….
Fist clenched, face getting flush.

DMaster: CASS: Easy… easy. Yes, escorted, you are in no shape and you have no weapons to boot. I highly doubt she would be doing anything but licking her wounds right now, but I am not risking it. She has surprised us, every step of the way so far.

Chance: Take a deep breath. Nod my head and walk out.

DMaster: You two leave the Temple. The rain is still coming down, flashes of lightning in the distance. Its pretty dark, most lanterns & torches are blown out on the pathways.

Chance: I am sure the rain feels good to me, just looking around as we walk back to the Inn

DMaster: You two head into the Inn. The lower floor is packed with people. You can see guards mostly. Past them you see the King & Britney who were talking and they turn to you.

Chance: Chan: M’lord

DMaster: They all look over to you. Most of them start to walk towards you. Some one burst through the line making people move suddenly and this beautiful blonde woman breaks out of the group. She is now giving you a fierce hug. Pain shoots through your lower region, but you disguise it well.

Chance: Chan: M’lady
hug back and smile, lean into her hug.

DMaster: AFF: Chance!
She buries her head in the crook of your neck, breathing heavy and shivering; not caring about you being soaked to the bone.

Chance: trying not to forget to call her M’lady in front of everyone

DMaster: CASS: Affinity, let him breathe, hon
pats her on the back, looking at her with concern.

Chance: Chan: it’s okay, I am fine, see?
Back up and show the bandage
Chan: Almost as good as new, kind of.
smiling and chuckle.

DMaster: She pulls away, tears in her eyes. She looks down at the bandage, cuts, some blood and bruises across your body. She looks at your face and tries to wipe some dirt and blood left on your cheek.
AFF: I’m… I’m sorry, I…
The King walks over and smiles. He puts his hand on Affinities shoulder.
KING: Let him breathe hon. my boy… come have a seat.
Affinity walks backwards a bit, wide eyed and looking shocked. Like she didn’t realize how much she cared, she looks down.

Chance: Chan: I will be alright, nothing I couldn’t handle
wink at Affinity

DMaster: She turns away abruptly, tears falling and heads for the stairs. Cassie watches as her daughter walks up the stairs, you can almost see her eyes well up a bit, but she catches herself. The King, Pluger, Xavier and Cassie all pull up a seat at the table. Britney hands you and Cassie a towel.
BRIT: Does anyone need anything?
Helynne walks in, is greeted and she pulls up a seat.

 

Chance: I will sit down. Dry myself off.
Chan: a drink would be nice
smiling at her

DMaster: She gives you a playful smirk
BRIT: Anyone else?
They all refuse.
KING: I would just piss my bed…
The group lets out chuckles and a giggle, breaking the tense silence. Cassie is wiping her self down, trying to dry her hair off.

Chance: Chan: I must apologize for my appearance
Putting the towel on my lap.

DMaster: They all chuckle a little, rolling eyes. The King looks up the stairs
KING: Ahhhhh
Your mom races down the stairs and sees you. She stops, eyes bulging not knowing what to do.
JOS: What… what happened?

Chance: Stand up and hug her
Chan: I am okay Mom, safe and sound.

DMaster: She has a shirt for you to put on. After a minute of speaking with your Mom, she is confused about packing, and leaving. She looks around, realizing they are waiting on you. One last look of confusion and worry and she heads back upstairs. Britney puts a cup of fruit juice in front of you.

Chance: I’ll put on the shirt, then drink my juice and listen to see if anyone starts talking

DMaster: CASS: The storm is dying down, so we have everyone packed. I am still a bit fuzzy as to what happened and why. I sense we have little to no time left here without putting ourselves into further danger.
PLU: I can’t imagine they will try anything now, not after what Chance and Rohlia did to the Priestess. But I agree, you have worn out your welcome.
KING: It will be nice to get back to my own bed, that is at least a silver lining.
XAV: aye, it will *nodding*
CASS: Quickly Chance, let us know what happened.
She nods to you

Chance: Chan: Well, Rohlia met me at the Back of the Inn earlier today and… explain how I was supposed to meet the Ranger at the Fishery and was approached by a monster, fought him and how Rohlia and the priestess literally burst out the door into the room. The battle raged, but the Priestess disappeared. Then talk about how I dragged Rohlia out to the boardwalk and I was put to sleep by the Monks.

DMaster: Everyone was quiet, taking in the story. Britney is behind you rubbing your back. It feels good.
CASS: Well, I would love to know why Rohlia wanted to meet you there of all places.

Chance: Chan: I think it’s one of their entrances to their compound.

DMaster: Everyone looks at you.

Chance: Smile a little
Chan: Yeah, when me and Ferellus first stumbled upon their domain, we saw a woman down there. Later that day, after he went missing, I saw that same woman walk into that fish place. It can’t be a coincidence, remember me telling you that Helynne?

DMaster: Helynne looks like a deer caught in the headlights, half shocked the other half furious you are bringing this up.
HEL: Yes. But we were looking for Ferellus, and that had nothing to do… well it didn’t seem like it had anything to do with it, at the time.
She sighs loudly and gives you a sharp look. Everyone looks back to Cassie.
CASS: I would also like to know what transpired that led to the priestess getting her ass thrown through the door by a little feisty elf and why they seemed to almost be waiting for you, Chance.
She looks at you.
CASS: You took out another Odius, a Finster goon and spoiled the Priestesses plans, again. You are making a lot of enemies. Dangerous enemies.

Chance: Nod my head
Chan: Yes, I am…

DMaster: CASS: I think we all agree its time to go. I know it’s like 2:00 AM, but everyone get what needs to be done in the next hour, we meet back here then

Chance: Chan: does that include me M’lady?

DMaster: She Nods to you as she pushes her chair in.
CAS: be here in an hour.

Chance: Chan: I shall be here then

DMaster: They all disperse, most go up the stairs. After you stand up, Britney gives you a hug.
BRIT: (whispers) Glad you are safe

Chance: Chan: nice to see you too Britney, I suppose I should go clean myself up. I mean just look at me I am a mess

DMaster: Britney looks at your wrappings and wound
BRI: Ohhh, that’s gotta hurt

Chance: Chan: it will for awhile Britney the priestess said it would. It just let’s me know I am alive

Chan: well I better go get cleaned up if I am to be back in here in an hour

DMaster: Britney nods and slaps your ass, then walks away

Chance: Chan: Hey now!

DMaster: Its somewhat chaotic, the hallways are filled with bags, guards and people. You get to the top floor, and the door is open to your apartment.

Chance: keep moving up the stairs head to mine and mom’s apartment, walk in.

DMaster: Your mom has a suitcase and bags in the living room floor, She is looking through some books. She stops and looks at you as you walk in.
JOS: Chance!
She walks over to you and hugs you again.

Chance: Chan: I am sure this isn’t the way you wanted to leave mom
Hug her back

DMaster: She backs up, looks at you.
JOS: I never wanted to leave Chance, I am so confused. I… I am just not sure what is happening?

Chance: Sigh and dip my head.
Chan: let me get cleaned up, changed and I will help you
Head to my room, close the door behind me and take off my clothes

DMaster: You can see the lightning still in the distance, rain streaks your windows

Chance: clean myself up the best I can. make sure I have a towel nearby and dry myself off. Fix my hair and put some clothes on. Then come out of my room and see if my mom is still there

DMaster: She has her stuff in the hallway
JOS: Oh Chance, are you going to be ok?
She sits on the couch looking around the room, and she is getting misty eyed.

Chance: Sit down next to her, and explain what happened… to a degree. Keeping any personal or details that she doesn’t need to know, out.
Chan: I will be fine, I will be joining you shortly, have faith in that. I have some unfinished business to attend to before I go.
Hug her for a long time, try not to cry.

DMaster: She hugs you and begins to cry in your arms. It’s been a long night, and you feel tears flow down your face. She leans back and sees your tears, she frowns and wipes a few away.
JOS: My son, my very brave… son.
She says with a shaky voice.

Chance: Chan: It is gonna be okay, don’t worry, trust me Mom it’s for the best for everyone

DMaster: A guard is at the door
GUARD: Pardon me, is this your baggage?
She stands up, looks over to him
JOS: Yes… that is all of it.
The guard has them, its a suitcase and two bags. He heads down the hallway. One last hug for the both of you, your Mom heads for the door. Just then Affinity appears at the door, almost running into your Mom.
AFF: Oh, Josephine, I am sorry, I…
Your mom smiles, glances back at you, doesn’t bow, just puts her hand on her arm and smile. Your mom makes one last trip down the hallway to the staircase.

Chance: Chan: M’lady
Bow a little. When guards and Moms are gone, walk over and hug her tightly

DMaster: She hugs you back, shaking a little.
AFF: When you, didn’t show up…
Hugs a little tighter
AFF: I didn’t know what to do

Chance: Chan: I am sorry, everything happened so fast, it was only suppose to be a conversation.

DMaster: AFF: I just sat on the bed waiting, and I really started to get worried. Then Erikka found me and said my mom was looking for me. I barely made it out of the room before getting caught. Then mom told me you were injured badly in a fight.
Shudders and sighs.

Chance: just keep hugging her

DMaster: AFF: You were hurt…
she pulls away a bit and looks at your wounds

Chance: Chan: I will live my Princess

DMaster: She looks up in your eyes, tears welling
AFF: This is not how I wanted to say Goodbye

Chance: wipe the tears away
Chan: This will not be our goodbye, Affinity, I assure you of that.
Touch her cheek

DMaster: She shakes her head slowly… Looking blankly at your wounds, leaning a bit into your touch. Some noise from the hallway.
BIRG: Affinity!
she walks into the room, Affinity quickly wipes the rest of her tears away the best she can.
BIRG: Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt.
She walks a bit closer, looking you two over, eyes wide.
BIRG: It’s just that your mom is looking for you and the King is ready to go
AFF: I…I… was just saying goodbye

Chance: Give Affinity a sharp glance
Chan: stop saying goodbye, it’s not

DMaster: Birgetta walks past Affinity and gives you a hug.
BIRG: Thank you for everything Chance.

Chance: Hug her back.
Chan: You are most welcome, but I have a sneaking suspicion you will be seeing me again.

DMaster: Erikka makes her way up too, after hearing the voices
ERIK: Awww…
She pushes Birgetta out of the way playfully and gives you a kiss on the cheek and hugs you.
BIRG: Biiitch!?

Chance: Give her a hug back and smile at her.

DMaster: Affinity leans up against the wall, doing everything she can to get herself under control. She is shaking a bit, tears falling… her head drops. She frantically tries to wipe them away. She looks awkward, crying and trying to hide it.

Chance: Chan: ummm, okay, ladies don’t you have somewhere to be?
Glance over to Affinity.

DMaster: Birgetta seeing the state Affinity is in
BIR: Uhh, Erikka lets leave them alone for a bit.
Erikka walks over to Affinity and squeezes her hand. Affinity looks up and there are tears streaming down her face. Erikka’s eyes get big and gives her a worried look.
ERIK: My Princess, we’ll stall Cassie as long as we can
The two head back down the stairs. Affinity looks down, bites her lips… tears falling like rain

Chance: Walk over to Affinity and pull her close.

DMaster: She is trying hard not to cry, but it is not working
AFF: I have to go Chance.
Looking up and into your eyes. Its like a ton of bricks, every time she looks at you. Your heart races quicker, you get butterflies.

Chance: Chan: I know you do
Pull her closer and give her a kiss

DMaster: She kisses you back, then you two end in an embrace. You can hear some footsteps on the staircase.
AFF: Thank you…
She backs up, looks up with her big green eyes filled with tears.
AFF: …For the time of my life.
Her eyes meet your gaze. She starts to sob and runs down the stairs

Chance: Stunned. Take a few breaths, walk out, close my door, and head for the stairs. Trying to hold it together.

DMaster: After closing the door, you see Xavier is standing at the top of the stairs watching Affinity book past him.
XAV: Affinity, your… um, Mom is… Ok then.
He says watching her sprint down the stairs.

Chance: Chan: M’lord
bowing as I walk towards him.

DMaster: XAV: Hey Chance. It’s time for us to shove off
He nods your acknowledgement

Chance: Chan: Your the only one so far that hasn’t told me to call them by their first name
Chuckle a little.

DMaster: XAV: I was thinking you can call me your overlord… but I think that’s a bit much.
He waves you down the stairs with a smirk and chuckle.

Chance: Chan: I agree
follow him down the stairs.

DMaster: The second and third floor is eerily quiet. The bottom floor is packed, guard walking out with chests, bags, etc. The King is signing a paper and handing Britney a bag, a very large bag.
BRIT: Jerry… NO. I…
Jerry gives her a look.
JER: If you don’t take this so help me Animax…
BRIT: Fine, but…
KING: No Buts!
BRIT: Yes, butts, just one, the one I am going to kick… YOURS!
He smiles and lets out a laugh.

Chance: Chan: Britney, for once in your life don’t argue, you won’t win

DMaster: KING: See! Chance is a bright boy… listen to him!
Britney jokingly throws you a sharp glance

Chance: Smirking

DMaster: The King hugs Brit and gives her a kiss on the head
KING: Take care of yourself hun…
BRIT: You too, My King.
He looks at her, raised eyebrow.
BRIT: My friend. Be careful.
Kissing his cheek, the King turns towards you and gives you a surprising hug
KING: Thank you for everything, son

Chance: Hug him back
Chan: the honor was all mine, M’lord

DMaster: Takes a long look at you and smiles.
KING: You literally saved the Kingdom.
Nods his head and looks proud
CASS: M’Lord… Once you are done fondling the young kids, we need to move on

Chance: Chuckle

DMaster: KING: Aye, You are lucky you are my favorite Baroness, otherwise I’d have you drawn and quartered
He walks out the door with 2 guards, rain falling on him. Cassie waits a minute, then walks over to you and gives you a hug.
CASS: Thank you for everything, I am truly sorry how I acted when I…

Chance: Interrupting
Chan: Don’t know what you are talking about…
Saying it with a playful tone

DMaster: You two stop hugging.
CASS: No, seriously, thank you. Plugr will be filling you in tomorrow about what is going to happen next.

Chance: Chan: don’t worry, you will see me soon. You haven’t gotten rid of me that easy
Smile and give her a wink.

DMaster: She smiles and turns around, walks out into the rain. Britney looks over at you with an exhausted expression on her face and lets out a sigh.

Chance: Chan: Britney, you looked wiped, its late, maybe go hit the hay?

DMaster: Before she could nod…

You can hear Cassie yelling Affinities name in the distance. Affinity comes sprinting into the door, soaked to the bone. She slams into you, giving you a powerful kiss and fierce hug. It was so sudden; but her lips, her drenched hair, her perfume made the moment perfect. Her kiss salty with rain and tear drops mixing in. Quite possibly the most amazing moment of your life. A small shiver hits you, her warmth so nice, the rain dripping on you. Your heart ready to explode, you never thought anything could be so powerful, so heart wrenching and so amazing all at the same time.

DMaster: She steps back, looks in your eyes… pauses a moment with rain and tears streaming down her face. It was one last look at the man who saved her from an assassin, gave her the most amazing moments of her life and she knew, she just fucking knew, loved her and she loved him. She then turns around and runs back out the door, hand over her mouth. You can hear Cassie scolding her down the pathway. Britney is looking at you with a raised eyebrow, and a little bit of worry.
BRIT: I’m not even going to ask. I think we are both exhausted… whenever you are ready tomorrow head on down, Pluger and myself will wait. Do not rush, Sleep in

Chance: Chan: Thank You
I will turn around and head back upstairs. Let a few tears flow. I will go to my apartment and open the door. No wait, I am going to go to the third floor, to one of the end rooms.

DMaster: You walk down the hallway, its very quiet.

Chance: Look into the farthest room.

DMaster: It is a 12 x 25 room, big bed against the far wall. The moonlight shining through the rain streaked window. You see candles, unlit all over the room, fruit and cheese on a plate next to the bed, and what seems to be lingerie draped over the railing. On the bed is a box, with a note underneath, a flower next to it.

Chance: She was so ready to do it again, I ruined it. I guess I ruin everything. Lower my head. Afraid to read the note. But eventually grab the note and read it.

DMaster: “Chance, Thank you for the time of my life. I left this necklace here for you, remember me like we were swimming in Glimmer Bay again. With Love, Affinity.”

Chance: Grip the necklace and smile, thinking to myself: If I was ever to pass up sex, no, it would of been so much more than that. But it better be good, real good. Rohlia is alive because of me. Close my eyes, smile and stand up. Say softly to myself.
Chan: Not bad in a days work.
Head to my room.

DMaster: The apartment is half empty, and oddly quiet. The rain is letting up a bit… no more lightning.

Chance: close the door behind me and lock the door. Head to my room and go to my window See if I can see the ship from here

DMaster: its around 5:00 so the horizon is just getting a hint of pink, you can barely see something on the horizon, not sure what it is. You pretend its the ship, quietly saying ‘goodbye’ again. You walk around the apartment. Open your mothers room, it looks in disarray, dresser drawers open, some books on her bed, but its dark. It is so quiet. It hits you, your mom will not be here tomorrow when you wake up. She will not be here to give you a hug, look across the room and smile at me. You put your head in your hands, tears streaming down your face. You already miss her, your heart begins to just ache.

Chance: When I am ready, I head to my room. Make sure my window is locked and then lay on the bed. pull the necklace close to my heart and close my eyes

DMaster: The sun is shining bright into the room, necklace still in hand. Sore as hell.

Chance: pull it close and think of Affinity for a moment or two and get up out of bed, careful not to hurt myself again.

DMaster: You prepare yourself for the day.

Chance: take the necklace and put it in my dresser. Then fix my hair up a little, leave my apartment, take the key with me and make sure I lock it up tight.

DMaster: After that you head down the stairs. On the second floor you bump into what appears to be you and/or your moms replacement

Chance: look around for Britney
Chan: oh hello there

DMaster: URL: OHHH! *a little taken back* I did not know any guests where in yet
She then looks at you, tilts her head

Chance: Chan: I am not a guest

DMaster: URL: Oh wait… I know you
She smiles

Chance: Chan: my name is Chance

DMaster: She is sweeping the hallway

Chance: Chan: Yes, that’s me. Well it’s nice to meet you, but I better let you get back to work

DMaster: They are conversing and laughing at Morty being a clown. The old Captain wheels around when he hears your voice, big smile on his face.

Pluger Nods
BRIT: Good Afternoon sleepy head.

Chance: Chan: I am good Morty and yourself? Sorry, I slept in. Still a little sore.
walk over to the table and have a seat

DMaster: Britney gives you a look

She giggles a little.

Takes a gulp of something
MORT:Free drinks Chance, life is good

Chance: Chan: well I know you wouldn’t pass that up

DMaster: PLUG: Well to start off with, Rohlia is still under. The priestess tells me she is doing better.
He frowns a bit
PLUG: Her wounds were bad, but Saundra…
BRIT: I watched that woman practically bring Affinity back to life. The fact Rohlia is still not healed, worries me.
Plugr nods.
PLUG: As for now, she is doing better.

Chance: Chan: Ahhhhh good, was wondering how she was doing

DMaster: MORT: Looks like *burp*. oops
MORT: Looks like me and you are going to *burp*. Dammit!
Plugr looks perplexed while Britney is doing everything in her power not to laugh

Chance: bust out laughing

DMaster: PLUG: Yes. We are going to have Morty advance your training. Now that you no longer have a job you will train with both me and Morty

Chance: Chan: is Morty gonna be in any shape to train me and train with you, M’lord?

DMaster: MORT: Aye, but not today bud *hiccup*
PLUG: Chance, I am not a “M’Lord” just call me Plugr, ok?

Chance: Chan: well right now you couldn’t train a bird Morty
smirking, then look at Plugr.
Chan: Yes, will do. Sorry.

DMaster: Nods his head a little in agreement of your assessment of Morty.
PLUG: I will be training you on the art of battle ranging from disarming, freelancing, to using a shield among other things. Morty will continue training you in the sword.

Chance: Chan: Aye, May I add I need training with daggers

DMaster: Pluger nods
BRIT: *yawning* Did you meet Ursella yet? That’s your moms replacement

Chance: Chan: yes I kind of bumped into her, she thought I was a guest at first

DMaster: BRIT: That blind one legged monkey starts tonight, he replaces you. Quite an improvement!
Morty spits his drink out while laughing. Plugr pulls back

Britney just has this shit eating grin across her face while Plugr chuckles.

Chance: Shaking my head a little
Chan: so what time does my training start?

DMaster: PLUG: Tomorrow, today we are going to gear you up. So we need to get measurements and go shopping

Chance: Chan: gear me up M’lord? Or I mean Plugr?

DMaster: PLUG: Yes. Get you armor, sheathes, helm, boots, gloves, bracers, etc

Chance: Chan: isn’t my armor good enough that I have now? Not that I am questioning you

DMaster: DM: The armor you have is pieced together and old
MORT: Nooo… that was my old practice armor *wipes his mouth* They will get you all geared up with new spiffy armor.

Chance: Chan: Aye, well it looks to be a busy day then perhaps we should get started. who is going with me?

DMaster: PLUG: Ok, it’s just me and Britney. Mort…?
Morty’s eyes are droopy, a soft smile on his face. He looks like he is about to fall asleep
