Adventure took place November 28, 1999
FOR THE BREVITY OF TIME
Not having a lot of time left in the day, the group moves on. The travel is hindered by avoiding what seems to be more wandering monsters and the injuries everyone sustained in the battle. They hunker down in a patch of trees and brush for the night. They have cold food and little to no sleep. Luckily there were no further crazy witch visits. Vulcuran was taking a turn for the worst, not being able to move. Victoria, much to her protest, realizes they need him to get out of this area. She agrees and heals the Duke. Meanwhile, a sound is appearing in the distance, very odd and hard to figure out where it is coming from…
DMaster: PLUG: I convinced Victoria to heal you. I knew it would of been a knock down, drag out verbal assault on each other, otherwise
He said with some trepidation.
Vulcuran: VUL: Thanks Plugr, appreciate it.
DMaster: The sound is still there, it doesn’t appear to be getting closer. The morning is just about here, everyone is extremely tired, cranky and still hurt. Once the sun just peeked its head up, the noise disappeared.
Vulcuran: I will gather what we have left and make breakfast for the group. I can build a fire now, without much worry.
DMaster: Krinus joins in helping, and makes some bear meat strips. The group gets up, eats and gears up for another day of walking.
Vulcuran: Waving my hand forward
VUL: Let’s move out, we have a long day, but the sooner we start the sooner we make it out of here.
DMaster: The party grumbles, but they move out. The sky is turning pink, the lighter blue is turning a bit darker. The wind is still pretty strong, and a few clouds roll in but nothing too eventful. It is fairly warm right now, you think around 70 degrees.
Vulcuran: good, having decent weather will keep our spirits up
DMaster: For roughly six hours you travel in a direction you hope is going to get you out of the corner as fast as possible. Still not much more than flat lands with a few hills, patches of trees, some shrubbery and overgrown grass. In the distance a few times it appears to be some houses, buildings or even a small village. But with the knowledge you have, avoiding them would be the best option right now.
Vulcuran: Put my hand up
VUL: We have walked enough, time to take a rest, maybe quickly cook some food, to keep our strength up.
DMaster: Krinus and the pirate called Plum, cook bear meat again, it still tastes good, but it’s getting old and you are just about out. Not much left of your berry, half bear jerky rations you made a while back too.
Vulcuran: Looking to Plugr and Krinus.
VUL: We need to get to the coast and fish
DMaster: PLUG: I don’t think it should be too long now. The air is feeling different, a bit more humid and I hope that means we are getting closer to shore, and that means… closer to getting out of this land.
Vulcuran: Nod my head
DMaster: The group gears back up and keeps trudging forward at a decent pace. The day has gotten a little warm, being early afternoon. Feels like about 80-85 degrees, only a few puffy clouds. The wind is the real savior, keeping people cooled off.
Vulcuran: Keep an eye out, scan the horizon frequently.
DMaster: After about 4 hours of walking, you passed a town a bit too close but to walk around would have taken too long. Though it seemed like they were normal folk, farms, pigs, some buildings and even a large community center. Another 15 minutes, the smell of ocean air hits, the sounds of seagulls become more apparent. The coast opens up for you.
Vulcuran: VUL: finally we can fish
DMaster: The same small pirate girl that they call Plum, who saved Krinus, walks over.
PLUM: Floater, big one, that way
She stands pointing down the coastline, speaking in broken common.
Vulcuran: Smile and nod.
VUL: Thank you Plum, lets go check it out
DMaster: The party heads down the shoreline. It takes a good hour to get close enough, the coast line is filled with brush and trees, so keeping concealed was much easier. Not to mention there is a small 10 foot cliff surrounding the coastline dividing brush from sand and water.
Vulcuran: keep trying to see if the ship has a flag or any identifying markings
DMaster: As you approach, you notice a very large flag on the boat, it has the sign of Animax… it seems to be a Ship for Animax
Vulcuran: I will look to see if I can tell who’s it is
VUL: Plugr look!
DMaster: Plugr comes from the back of the group,
PLUG: Oh thank Animax, literally, we found a way home!
Vulcuran: VUL: I am thrilled, but let’s still be cautious. With our current luck, we can never be too cautious.
DMaster: PLUG: Agreed.
Your party approaches, about being 1/4th of a mile away the party of Animax notice you and begin scrambling around.
Vulcuran: As we approach, keep moving closer
VUL: keep your hands near your weapons just in case
DMaster: They form a few lines of people with shields and what appears to be maces and morning stars, with some other people behind them with white robes
PLUG: I believe the last person on the left is…
Vulcuran: Squint and look.
DMaster: PLUG: Alyndri! Alyndri! It is us, Vulcuran, Duke of Camerondale, me Plugr, Lead Knight!
Vulcuran: Finally we are going to go home, thinking to myself.
DMaster: You know Alyndri well. She has healed you personally after many a battle. She was elevated to the High Priestess of Animax for Camerondale and it’s realm about a decade ago. A blonde woman who is soft spoken, almost floats when she walks and is one of the most beautiful people on Legon. The line of people forming down on the beach stops and looks back at the blonde woman who has wide eyes and now a big smile. Your party heads down to the shoreline where they are unloading stuff. She walks up to you, with a huge smile. She gives both of you a big hug.
ALY: I thank Animax. We thought you were lost to us.
Vulcuran: Hug back
VUL: Are we happy to see you!
DMaster: She looks you two over, tilts her head.
ALY: We have limited supplies, but we can offer you a hot meal and a safe place to rest tonight.
Plugr looking at her, frowns a bit.
PLUG: So you are not heading back to Camerondale?
She shakes her head looking at the mass of people organizing things, tents, tables, bedrolls, etc.
ALY: We just arrived, we are on a pilgrimage to rid the land of the evil in the corner.
The group gets escorted to an outer lying tent. Some cots and such in it. Squires and servants rushing around to get chairs and the like to sit. Alyndri is looking over this, standing next to you and Plugr.
Vulcuran: Thank them for helping out.
VUL: I hate to ask, but is there any way you can get us at least a little farther north? I feel we are still too far in the Witches corner right now.
DMaster: ALY: We can get you guys out of the witches’ corner, but we can’t go any farther than that. The boat has to be back by tomorrow evening and if that volcano acts up again, we don’t want the boat to sink on us.
After a few minutes she has three medium sized bags handed to her, then she hands it to you.
ALY: Here is about 2 days worth of rations for roughly 15 people. It is the most we can spare with our next supply ship being a good week or so away.
Vulcuran: VUL: We just need to find a town or something where we can rent or buy a boat, to get home.
DMaster: She also hands you another small pouch.
ALY: Here is some gold. It is not much but it could buy you passage on a ship. If memory serves me correctly, there is a town a day’s boat ride, possibly a few days’ foot travel from here. Last I remember it was a decent size fishing town called Del Rosa. You could maybe find help there.
Vulcuran: Smile and nod at her.
VUL: Thank you.
DMaster: ALY: But for now, let your worries and anxieties be no more. Enjoy the safety, the food and the company.
She touches your arm, smiles and walks off. A few servants are gearing people up to go to a remote part of this little alcoved section of the shore for baths. Obviously men and women separated.
Vulcuran: Good, I was beginning to stink.
DMaster: Plugr is already there getting some towels, soap stuff. Most of the women have been handed some food and drink. They are eating right now. One of the servants suggested you go and get a bath now.
Vulcuran: well the hell with it, I am gonna go clean up
DMaster: You, Krinus and Plugr take a bath in the cove, the water is a bit nippy, but bearable
Vulcuran: I am gonna enjoy it for a while
DMaster: You get all cleaned up, no razor though so you can’t shave. Plugr seems in deep thought, kind of slowly going through the motions, zoning out here and there.
Vulcuran: VUL: what’s the matter Plugr?
DMaster: He looks up, smiles.
PLUG: Nothing M’Lord, not a thing, finally something good has come about. I was getting sick of problem after problem. I mean it is not a direct line home, but it is a welcome boot in the ass to get us there.
Vulcuran: VUL: Is that all that is on your mind? This is Vulcuran your talking to, you can tell me anything
Finishing washing up.
DMaster: He shakes his head
PLUG: I just would like to get home, you know. Seeing the boat made me think it was a day or two away, now it looks like it could be another week.
The Knight was finishing up cleaning as well, letting out a sigh. Krinus is just looking over to you two, not saying much, finishing up with soap.
Vulcuran: Nod my head, sigh as well.
VUL: Funny, I felt the same. But it is nice to see Alyndri, just the mere presence of her calms me down.
DMaster: He chuckles a bit, nodding his head. You guys get dressed, and head over to the meal tent
Vulcuran: I am gonna let my hair hang down for awhile
DMaster: The rest of the men head down to the cove. The women are sitting around a now smaller campfire, just outside the large tent. Their spirits seem higher as they nibble on food and drink. A squire or two hand the three of you a plate of food, and you all dive in. It was beef strips, with spiced taters and you hear Krinus thank Animax it wasn’t Bear or Fish. That made you and Plugr giggle a little. The time seems to move a little quicker, now that you are protected, comfortably full and now getting sleepy. The sun is setting on yet another day. The sky is turning shades of purple, and the light fades from the sandy shore area you are in, just some shadows cast from trees far off.
Vulcuran: Finally a sunset, I can actually enjoy.
DMaster: You notice Clerics & Monks setting up these 10 foot poles, with large symbols of Animax and what seems to be candles on them. They light them, they give off an incredible white glow, it’s very striking. Each one has something rubbed on the pole, blessed and then sanctioned.
Vulcuran: Nod head, must be some kind of protection.
DMaster: The entire camp is brightly lit, like it was daylight almost. The women come back from the cove all cleaned up, in very high spirits, laughing and talking amongst themselves. Plugr walks over to a few monks and sits down with them. He appears to be praying with them. The Monks were flattered that the Lead Knight took time to pray with them.
Vulcuran: I am gonna sit by the water and just stare out into the distance for a while.
DMaster: The sun has finally set, and as a note, this time is called “sunken-Sun.” Alyndri walks up behind you.
ALY: My dear Duke, if you may, you should be inside the protected area once the sun has set.
Vulcuran: Nod my head.
VUL: My Priestess. I have seen and done things that make me think you will need more protection here. But I will comply.
Stand up and smile at her.
DMaster: The colorful sky to the west is now gone. There are a few clouds that are visible, light wind, but as for anything more, it is hard to tell with the massive light coming from all the staves. Everyone is in high spirits. They are all mingling, talking, drinking, and nibbling on food. Even the monks are talking and enjoying the company. They are all around the meal tent for the most part.
Vulcuran: I will let everyone have a good time. Just want to be alone for awhile, find a place in camp protection where I can just relax
DMaster: Not really much place to go, beside going into someone else’s tent. DM: Ignoring Todd being a depressed sad sack. Looking about you do notice, it is a tight fit with the special poles. I guess they wanted concentrated protection. Krinus is telling his tale of the bear hunt between you and him… to anyone who wanted to listen. Most of them roll their eyes, who has heard it before, hearing almost a completely different story.
Vulcuran: I will just listen
DMaster: KRI: Then the bear roared so loud I thought my ear drums would burst, Vulcuran strung his bow and fired without a flinch. WHAM! Hit him right in the chest, I flung an arrow hitting his paw to the tree so he couldn’t move, Vulcuran then plugged one in his head, as I did too.
The 3 star guard has now stood up, making crazy motions with his arms, re-enacting the event.
Vulcuran: Here we go, can’t wait for me to start wrestling with live bears; I think to myself, chuckle.
DMaster: KRI: The bear crumpled to the ground. We walked up to it, but it was still alive!
The ones who hadn’t heard the story yet; oooh and ahhh.
Vulcuran: Nibble on some food, drink some tea. Smirk.
DMaster: KRI: Vulcuran wrestled the injured bear to the ground as I finished him off.
As before he looks over to you
KRI: We made a great team eh M’Lord?
Vulcuran: Nod my head with a silly smirk.
VUL: That we do Krinus, that we do.
DMaster: He has this big smile. They all clap to the story just told. Everyone seems to be relaxed. Alyndri is speaking with a cleric, some of your survivors are chatting with Monks, Plugr has made his way over to Victoria, they are nibbling on some food, chatting with 2-3 other people. You are drinking this very refreshing herbal cold tea. Then Krinus starts talking about the journey.
Vulcuran: Mumble to myself, oh Krinus, keep this down to a dull roar, I don’t want to be wrestling a cyclops in your next story…
DMaster: Alyndri walks over to you after speaking with Clerics.
Vulcuran: Stand up, nod a little
VUL: Alyndri.
DMaster: ALY: Let’s talk, shall we?
She waves her hand to the farthest reach, and enters a smaller, but taller tent. It looks like this is one made for her. It is more royal, so to speak, but nothing to fancy. Though the bed looks way better than the cots in the others. She pours some water in two smaller mugs. Looking at her, she is in a tighter fitting dress, all white except for a few accents of gold. She also has this sheer overcloak of sorts draped on her. She smells of Vanilla cookies. You two sit down at a small round table. Pushes one of the mugs to you.
Vulcuran: Nod my head again
VUL: Thank you M’Lady.
DMaster: ALY: Well, I can see that you have lost many, but gained some new people in the group. I sense a lot of tension, sadness and weariness.
Vulcuran: Nod head.
VUL: Crashing a boat on the shores of the Witches Corner will do that to a group.
DMaster: She smiles and nods, takes a sip of water.
ALY: From the refugees, I have overheard horror stories of you mercilessly slaughtering their people.
Her eyebrow raises then smiles softly.
ALY: I do not think that is the case.
Vulcuran: Shake head.
VUL: We did kill quite a few of their men and women who attacked us. Purely defensive. We would have loved to have a boat-full of prisoners, rather than a cove filled with corpses.
Take a drink.
DMaster: ALY: The burden of command can sometimes be overwhelming my dear. I, for one, can understand that.
She says softly touching your hand seeing that you talking about it made you wince a bit. She pulls back quickly, furries her brow.
Vulcuran: I am pretty sure I know what is coming next, thinking: I am sure she can sense the pussy stank on me. Dammit why did I have to fornicate with that Witch? I mean, it was amazing, but at what cost. I mean where would we be if I didn’t? No map, no protection… ugg, too much to think about.
DMaster: ALY: You seem like you have lost something. Maybe lost your way, lost a little of your light that I grew so fond of.
She says elegantly, skirting the idea of fucking a witch.
Vulcuran: VUL: I did what I had to do, Priestess. Not sure where we would be if I didn’t. I mean, who knows maybe we would of been better off with different decisions… I am… just so tired.
DMaster: She nods and tilts her head.
ALY: They sent out a ship search party a day before we left. They did not know what to look for, so I am not sure where they would be right now. But I have sent word to Camerondale. They know of your safety now.
Vulcuran: Smile at her, nod.
VUL: Thank you.
DMaster: You two converse for a short time more, she then blesses you and you get sleepy. She guides you out and points to a section where make shift bedrolls and cots are.
Vulcuran: See where we will be resting for awhile
DMaster: She goes back into her tent, draws the flaps, closes it up.
Vulcuran: I will watch everyone else turn in
DMaster: There are bedrolls all around the meal tent for you guys. Most of the group are now sleeping. A few people are still sitting talking quietly. Including Plugr and Victoria.
Vulcuran: Get to a bedroll, lay down.
NEXT DAY 2:00 AM
DMaster: You fell instantly asleep. But are awoken by some soft but sharp noises, people talking.
Vulcuran: I will get up, look around
DMaster: Plugr is two bedrolls down from you. He is in a crouched position and he sees you get up. He waves you over to an open spot
Vulcuran: I will go over there, grabbing my sword.
DMaster: You practically sleep with your sword, so it is at the ready.
PLUG: There on the edge of that cliff, you can see them pretty good now.
Vulcuran: I will look
DMaster: There is movement, dark figures, about 3 or 4 of them, just stalking the edge of the cliff about 100 yards away. You can’t tell much, but you can tell they are not friendly.
Vulcuran: Sag my shoulders a little
VUL: Great, what are they?
DMaster: PLUG: I hope these safe sticks or whatever these things are, work good
Plugr unsheathes his sword. Then out of nowhere Alyndri appears behind you.
ALY: Yes they are the minions of the witches high tower.
The Knight practically pisses himself, surprised at the Priestess. You jump out of your skin as well.
Vulcuran: VUL: I might have to go clean myself up again now, thanks Alyndri
Shaking off the fright.
DMaster: She smiles, walks forward to the edge of the poles, she bows her head, brings her hands up slowly, outstretched. Suddenly a huge glowing gold symbol of Animax appears atop of her. At least 20 feet high, 20 feet wide. It glitters and sparks.
Vulcuran: VUL: Holy shit, that is one hell of a party trick.
DMaster: You hear them howl and screech. They make sounds, you figure it is something in a language you do not know. They then scamper off to the south. Alyndri, drops her arms, turns and you see her glowing a bit, eyes flickering with pure light.
ALY: Well, now that we have been introduced, I am sure they will think twice about creeping around here.
Vulcuran: VUL: sorry if we caused you any problems. Wow, now I am awake.
DMaster: She walks back to her tent, stops and looks back at you.
ALY: No m’lord, this would have happened despite who was with us. Please, sleep soundly, for you have a long day ahead of you.
She waves her hand and you feel sleepy once again
Vulcuran: at this point I won’t fight magic
DMaster: You roll back into your bed, you wake up on your own this time. Some people are up and about, the western horizon is getting real dark and the sunrise is just beginning on the east making a weird looking sky right now.
Vulcuran: I will get up and stretch. What is going on? Volcano again or is it something else?
DMaster: The monks are starting to wake people up.
MONK: We must get moving now, the clouds billowing to the west, we must set sail and get where were going NOW!
He is pointing at the clouds.
Vulcuran: Grab what gear I have.
DMaster: Everyone gets up and starts scrambling. You hand off the 3 bags of rations to different people, tie the coin purse to your belt. Start helping the organization of the refugees and guards onto the boat.
ALY: Apparently they did not like my display last night. They have performed quite the ritual to kick up some nasty storm clouds.
She has a mixed look of regret and a smirk.
ALY: Farewell Vulcuran. Take care and be strong. So many depend on your strength and leadership. I will see you back in Camerondale.
She says with a smile.
Vulcuran: Take her hand, kiss it.
VUL: Thank you. Thank you for everything.
DMaster: She smiles. Everyone is jumping into the rowboats. They paddle out to the large boat. You guys then board the massive ship and set sail. It only took a mere 30 minutes, and the sun is barely fully risen yet. But the clouds are coming down on you like a lion to his prey. You guys sail along the coastline, far enough away from the rocks and such, but close enough.
Vulcuran: See how far we are going to go, keep an eye on those clouds.
DMaster: Lightning flashes in the distance. The winds begin to pick up, the boat is now physically rocking back and forth.
Vulcuran: Here we go again, thinking to myself.
DMaster: Plugr is a little ways away from you.
PLUG: I knew it was going too good, I mean, why would it continue? Why can’t we just have our little victories and not get beaten down with this bullshit!
Vulcuran: Smirk and nod, holding on to anything.
DMaster: The boat is moving at a pretty good speed, with the wind and all. The clouds are very close now, lightning flashes and the thunder roars. Suddenly the boat drops its sails and gets closer to the coastline. You hear the captain.
CAP: Get to shore, this is as close as I will go. We wait too long it will overtake us I fear!
Everyone piles into the rowboats as it starts to spritz a bit, wind still howling pretty good.
CAP: Secure these here boats, I will come back for them later!
He is yelling over the rain, winds and thunder.
Vulcuran: Jump on one of the boats.
DMaster: The two boats, crammed with people, gets lowered down. It hits the side of the boat a few times as the winds continue to howl. It drops in the water and the group starts to paddle. A few times it almost tips over but you right the ship. You make it to shore. The boat has already moved out and it looks to have dropped anchor, waiting it out.
Vulcuran: See where we can secure the boat.
DMaster: Quick lightning, ground shaking thunder echoes throughout the region. It is now a driving rain. The group moans and groans, pulling the boats up to some trees, a good 150 feet from shore. They are tied up now. Then boom! A real close lightning strike that splinters a nearby tree making everyone yell, wince or shit themselves.
Vulcuran: Look around and not wanting to linger.
VUL: OK, let’s move out.
DMaster: There are some scattered trees, lots of wet land and brush here and there. Everyone is in a half run, half trudge, there is large puddles of mud and marsh grounds that are soft and sponge-like.
Vulcuran: Keep them moving along.
DMaster: The rain lets up a bit and the thunder is definitely behind you, and so is the lightning. It seems to be concentrated on the area that the Animax entourage has camped. The wind picks up though, its getting tough to fight the wind now, this seems a bit more natural than the storm. Leaning forward into the wind, you see a few trees blown over. You stop a moment, look back in anticipation of telling the group maybe they should rest when you notice they stopped following you.
Vulcuran: What the hell, go back.
DMaster: They are all huddled under this little band of trees, shivering and trying to dry off a bit. Krinus walks over to you.
KRI: We were yelling for you, but you must not have heard us with all this wind.
Vulcuran: Nod head and wrap up best I can.
DMaster: After about an hour, the wind seems to ease up a little. The rain stops to a decent drizzle. It is early afternoon now.
Vulcuran: VUL: We have lingered long enough, let’s go.
Move out.
DMaster: They all gear back up and begin walking
KRI: I remember them saying there is a town up ahead, they were unsure if it was 2 or 3 days on foot.
Vulcuran: Nod head
DMaster: After an hour you see a village. It is small, only maybe 20-30 people. It appears to be a fishing village, their biggest boat can hold maybe 4 people. They seem very weary of you, especially since you came from the south. They offer you a small meal. You accept.
Vulcuran: Hand them 3 gold, for their trouble.
VUL: Wish I could offer more, but we might need the rest to get home.
DMaster: A man, they call Cadmus, seems to be the leader of this village. He looked at the gold you offered and smiled. He takes your hand and claps it around the gold.
CAD: I can see you have been through an ordeal. We offered this food to you in friendship.
Vulcuran: Put the coins away, offer a handshake.
VUL: In a world of trial and tribulation, everything going wrong. It is heartwarming to find people like you. It restores my faith in the people of this land.
Nod to him in respect.
DMaster: He smiles, nods his head back. The group gears up and heads out. Now it is roughly about 2:30-3:00 PM. You walk for 4 or so hours, the shoreline, you can see boats and ships way in the distance. Much to far away to alert. Some point out what appears to be some large fish jumping out of the water. A few disturbingly large birds that were more afraid of you then of them. The day seems to be clearing up a bit, it is no longer raining, but the mud is slowing you down a bit.
Vulcuran: Keep moving, we need a place to stay the night.
DMaster: The sun is starting to hit the far tree lines inland. The clouds that were overhead are parting somewhat. The group sees what looks like another village. The closer you get the more you realize, it looks deserted.
Vulcuran: Stop the group.
VUL: Plugr, Krinus, want to have a look through?
DMaster: Both of them come up and nod. Drawing their weapons they start out.
Vulcuran: VUL: Any trouble, just give a yell, I will be there in moments…
DMaster: They turn and nod, then head in. After a minute or so, they are heading back. Their bodies being lit up by the reddish tone light of the sun setting on the horizon, shadows cast behind them. They are shaking their head.
PLUG: Nothing M’Lord. It’s deserted, and seems to have been for quite some time. Some decent size buildings too.
Vulcuran: Nod.
VUL: Thank you. Let’s head in, find a secure hut or buildings, and a place to set up guards.
DMaster: Walking in, the village had half dirt/mud half stone pathways. Looks to have maybe 12-14 buildings, or huts. More than half are beyond repair and falling down. There is a main building that seemed to be a place they would congregate, still standing tall. The group piles in there, through the old rickety double doors. There is another hut at the front, that a few guards look to set as their look out spot.
Vulcuran: Take a better look around the outskirts, judge the places where danger could come from.
DMaster: You hear Krinus talking with the pirate girl Plum. They seem to have made a connection.
KRI: I’d rather stay somewhere where its half covered then no cover at all. Anyways we are now far enough away from that wretched corner.
The smaller girl smiles and responds in broken common. Krinus walks up.
Vulcuran: VUL: Krinus, we have a good look of the shoreline north and south, our only real entry point for concern is going to be West. Did you set up the far hut for guards?
DMaster: He nods
KRI: Yes, we will have a two man rotation and do a walk around once an hour M’Lord. Where did Plugr get off to?
Vulcuran: VUL: probably with Vicky
DMaster: KRI: Oh, Vicky. Is that what we are calling her now?
Vulcuran: Shrug shoulders.
DMaster: KRI: (looks confused) well at least it is good cover for the night. Can we build some fires?
Vulcuran: VUL: Yes. Do what you have to do with them, then douse all but one when we are done. Try and keep them blocked by the buildings as best you can.
DMaster: KRI: Will do. Probably too late to fish.
He says walking away.
DMaster: Just then Victoria and Plugr walk out of the hut giggling. They didn’t know you were there, and they go there separate ways, she heads for the main hut. Plugr turns and sees you, then walks your way.
PLUG: So what is the plan?
He says standing straight, next to you.
Vulcuran: Glance at him.
VUL: That would have been a good question about a half hour ago.
Just look out over the water, hands behind my back.
DMaster: PLUG: Oh, oh. Sorry, I was getting people settled in.
He says fidgeting a bit, looking around nervously.
Vulcuran: Nod head.
VUL: Get with Krinus and make sure the guard situation is all set please.
DMaster: Nods his head and quickly scampers off.
Vulcuran: Shake my head.
DMaster: The women and men refugees are in between the hut and the now bigger fire outside. They are talking, eating rations. You can see a guard walking the perimeter now and again. You grab some rations and jam them in your mouth, not hungry but knowing you have to keep your strength up.
Vulcuran: I will eat and then watch the sunset
DMaster: The sun has already set. The tree line has a deep purple hue to the west. You can start to see a few stars popping out, one of the small moons across the water rising.
Vulcuran: Finish up my food.
DMaster: By then Krinus and Plugr had made it over to you, Plugr oddly chatty, started to talk about anything. Krinus is looking at him like he’s crazy and just shaking his head in agreement, a small smirk on his face.
Vulcuran: I don’t say much, shaking my head a little listening to the usually quiet Plugr talk.
DMaster: The sky is almost clear now. Legon has 3 moons, 2 that are small, while one is large. The large one is almost full, while one small one is three quarters and slowly passes in front of the large one. The temp is beginning to dip, right now it’s a bit chilly being on the shoreline, ocean wind and all.
Vulcuran: well I will keep looking around
DMaster: Some people are heading in to find a place to sleep. Others are still talking. A guard then approaches you.
GUARD: M’Lord, Krinus said to notify you if there is anything unusual.
Vulcuran: I will nod my head
VUL: Yes, what is it?
DMaster: GUARD: There is lights to the northwest of here
He points in that direction.
Vulcuran: Look around.
VUL: Get Plugr and Krinus, report at the guard hut. Kill that fire now, get everyone in the building.
Walk to the guard hut.
DMaster: The guard goes into the hut and he says something to a refugee about killing the fire.
Vulcuran: Look to see if I can see it.
DMaster: You can see lights. It appears to be one or two lanterns. It is a good distance away. But you think, if we can see the lanterns there is no doubt they can see the fire that was lit.
Vulcuran: Curse to myself realizing that.
DMaster: Plugr and Krinus show up. Plugr making enough noise to wake the Augustian King.
Vulcuran: VUL: We have company
Point to the lights.
DMaster: PLUG: Looks like travelers.
His eyes squinted to see.
KRI: Aye, not moving too fast either.
Vulcuran: VUL: We need to find out who, or hopefully not; “what” they are.
DMaster: PLUG: Agreed.
Krinus walks a bit forward, crouches and is looking harder.
PLUG: We can maybe go at them from two fronts, I can be in front while you…
Vulcuran: Shake my head.
VUL: Plugr, I think King Jeramiah heard you coming all they way from here.
Say with a bit of a chuckle,
VUL: We need stealth for this. If they are harmless I will just let them pass, but if they are a threat we have a chance to get back here and defend ourselves without tipping our hand.
DMaster: He is looking at you, a bit of hurt in his eyes.
PLUG: Yes. M’Lord.
He says stepping back, putting the sword back into its scabbard.
Vulcuran: Turn to Plugr.
VUL: If this goes sideways, who is better to lead the party home? We can’t put all our eggs in one basket.
DMaster: Avoiding eye contact he nods his head.
Vulcuran: Shake my head, now I have to worry about hurting people’s feelings? – think to myself.
DMaster: He quietly barks a little order to a guard that showed up to make sure everyone is secure in the hut.
Vulcuran: VUL: Time to move out
Grab Krinus by his collar to get moving.
DMaster: You two set off towards the lights. Dodging in and out of bushes and trees to get to the slightly raised pathway.
KRI: (quietly) M’lord, what is happening between you and Plugr? I mean I have watched your relationship deteriorate this whole trip.
They are about 100 yards away now, you are roughly 20 feet off the pathway hunkered in a line of bushes.
Vulcuran: VUL: (quietly) Krinus, eye on the prize right now. Have that bow trained on them at all times.
DMaster: Krinus nods his head. He stops you a moment, looks around, feels the air.
KRI: Wind is blowing away from them, we are safe, smell wise anyways. (quietly)
It looks to be three people. As you are approaching you can hear what you think is singing. At first it kind of sounded like an animal getting strangled, but now you can make out some words. One that is walking a bit in front is tall, well built. Looks to be some serious armor. A cloak flowing in the breeze, a nice hat and walking with a bit of confidence.
Vulcuran: Keep low, keep quiet, shake my head.
DMaster: “Oh those juicy berries, they are like delicious faeries and take me to a place I only dream of!”
-singing, not too well I might add. There are three of them. The tall one is very visible, the other is a medium sized person. Also in a cloak, brown in color walking along. You think you hear him mumble “I dream of you being in that place right now, my god you are drunk…” then giggle. Then there is a smaller one, bopping his head about, walking merrily, still belting out a terrible song. They appear to have some weapons on their belts, some skins, backpacks, and light armor of some sort for both of the other two.
Vulcuran: turn to Krinus
VUL: Thoughts?
DMaster: KRI: (whisper) he needs voice lessons.
He winces trying not to laugh, as he pulls his bow down, ducks.
Vulcuran: VUL: They don’t seem threatening. Though they are armed.
Ducking a bit too, making sure we are hidden.
DMaster: The tall cloaked one stops walking and looks around.
TALL: Hold up.
Vulcuran: Shit, senses us. Well it looks like we will have to stay put for now.
DMaster: The medium person stops, turns to the taller man.
MED: What is it Mayred? Is there something?
Vulcuran: I will not move, keep looking
DMaster: The smaller one stops, wobbles a bit, looks around, puts his hand in the air, some of his wine sloshes out.
SMALL: Oh shit, damn. Did you spot a cricket? An evil half demon cricket?
Laughs at his own joke. The medium sized man scoffs a bit with a soft chuckle. All three are now looking around.
Vulcuran: stay still and wait
DMaster: The smaller man, almost falls, then walks to the bushes roughly 30 feet from you. Pulls down his pants, and starts to urinate.
SMALL: Here you go evil Cricket, I piss on your intent!
You and Krinus are able to exchange glances and the 3 star is doing everything not to laugh.
Vulcuran: hold back my laughter.
DMaster: The large man just shakes his head still looking around. The medium sized man is chuckling, starting to walk again
MED: Don’t shake it more than twice, then you are…
SMALL: Playing with it!
The smaller man yells, almost choking on a laugh. He pulls his pants back up and walks back over.
Vulcuran: I am waiting for a chance to sneak up behind the cloaked person
DMaster: They start to walk again, and now are about at the closest point they can be with you so far in the brush.
Vulcuran: well I will start moving closer.
DMaster: The instant you moved. The large man puts his hand up. This time the Medium sized guy was already stopped.
MED: Yeah, I heard that too.
He pulls out a decent sized mace like weapon. The large man, pulls his cloak to the side, and pulls out a massive morning star, that looks very very unfriendly.
Vulcuran: shit. Stop.
DMaster: You see the glint of his eyes turn to you, and he points his big morning star in your direction.
MAY: There, your voyeurs my two friends.
Vulcuran: Stand up in the brush, put my hands up in a peaceful gesture.
VUL: We mean you no harm
DMaster: The small man whirls around looses his footing and is a bit shocked to see someone there. He falls square on his ass. The medium man crouches a bit, ready for anything. The large man then steps in front of his friends, as though to protect them.
MAY: Pardon us if we do not believe someone creeping in the bush.
Vulcuran: VUL: Look, we don’t want a fight, but we also did not want to assume you were friendly either.
DMaster: MAY: Well the least you can do is declare yourself thief. The one still crouched next to you as well.
Vulcuran: Grab Krinus and forcefully pull him up, thinking that he had already stood up.
VUL: Our apologies. I am Vulcuran, Duke of Camerondale, this here
Letting go of the 3 stars collar
VUL: This is Krinus, one of my guards.
DMaster: You see his eyes get big, a smirk washes across his face.
MAY: You want us to believe, the esteemed Duke of Camerondale is hunkered in some bushes, in the middle of no where, spying on travelers of this path?
He lets out a laugh.
MAY: Oh that’s rich. You might want to try again, I have met this Duke you think you are and he is a giant of a man and…
Then he kind of stops, looks you over, seeing how tall you are.
Vulcuran: I will approach closer slowly, hands still out. Get into the moon light.
VUL: I know, it seems a bit ridiculous, but if you knew what we just went through the past week, you would understand.
DMaster: He steps forward, squinting a bit. Though he said you met, he does not seem familiar. The drunk little guy goes and grabs his wineskin, half its content on the ground. He frowns. Then walks over to you, wiping his hands on his shirt.
MAN: Nice to meet you Camerondale, I am Boblin.
Sticks his hand out to shake.
Vulcuran: Smile at him, shake his hand.
VUL: Nice to meet you Master Boblin.
DMaster: The man they call Mayred steps back, a surprised look on his face. He puts his morning star back on his belt.
MAY: I still don’t believe it, but here you are, standing in the weeds in the middle of nowhere after sunken sun.
He bows a bit in respect.
MAY: M’Lord, my apologies.
Vulcuran: Smile.
VUL: It is ok. I can’t blame you. It is, a bit out of the ordinary.
DMaster: Boblin realizes something.
BOB: Oh, no. I am sorry Mister Duke
He bows and almost falls over.
BOB: Camerondale of the Duke, or I mean Sir Duke of Vulcuran.
He then lets out a loud belch. Then waves his hand in front of him.
BOB: yuck, that smelled terrible.
Vulcuran: Give him a raised eye look, chuckle a little.
DMaster: MAY: My apologies for Boblin. He is our bard and he…
pauses with a look of disappointment.
MAY: he partakes in a bit too much of the drink. This is Carter, a young talented Cleric.
He moves out of the way for the young man to walk up and shake your hand.
Vulcuran: Shake his hand.
VUL: Nice to meet you as well, Carter. You are welcome to rest at our makeshift camp site.
DMaster: MAY: Yes we spotted it a half click back. We were just going to pass it on by.
He then smiles, gathers his companions a bit.
MAY: We would be honored to stay with you M’Lord.
BOB: Camerondale, what the hell? I thought we were heading south, we must of went the wrong way. How much have I been drinking, wowo!
He stumbles forward almost falling over
Vulcuran: VUL: Follow us.
Move Krinus with me and head down to the deserted village.
DMaster: you see one of the guards head poke out. Plugr grabs him, pulls him back and walks past him.
PLUG: Everything OK? M’Lord?
Raises an eyebrow seeing the other three with you.
Vulcuran: Nod my head.
VUL: Continue with our previously discussed plan for the watch.
DMaster: Plugr nods and walks to another guard looking out. The three visitors look around to the deserted village. Gets to a large hut with a smoldering fire in front of it.
MAY: Sire, was that Plugr? Lead Knight of Camerondale? I am getting more confused by the minute.
Vulcuran: Smirk.
VUL: Well we can definitely discuss it further.
Open the doors to the big hut.
VUL: All good. Someone get the fire started again please.
DMaster: The people come out, refugees, guards, pirates, etc. The bard looks thrilled to see so many people. Both Carter and Mayred are looking more and more confused.
Vulcuran: Glance at everyone
VUL: yeah, long story.
DMaster: BOB: Looky here! Howdy hoo hoo everyone!
Your group looks all weird at the smaller man. The bard goes on to introduce himself and almost like a spell, everyone starts smiling, talking and laughing. The large well armed and armored man has a soft smile wash over his face, almost of pride seeing his bard do his thing.
Vulcuran: Hand him some rations
VUL: So Mayred, where are you headed?
DMaster: He politely refuses the rations.
MAY: South, it seems. Care to talk a little more privately?
Vulcuran: Nod head, guide him to the edge of the distressed docks. Looking out over the water, seeing the moon reflect on the waves.
VUL: I apologize I do not recognize you. Though I see many people many times a day back in Camerondale.
DMaster: He smiles and nods. The man now has taken his hat off. Darker features, a power mustache, chiseled chin. Stands a good 6’2″ and probably weighs around 200 pounds, you are guessing.
MAY: It was during last years Dawns First Light celebration. You were speaking with my Priestess Alyndri. She introduced me as her new Crusader.
He looks down, almost embarrassed.
MAY: We briefly spoke. But I remember how big and tall you were.
Vulcuran: VUL: I do remember that night, I may have had one too many champagne toasts.
Chuckle a bit.
VUL: I also remember meeting a lot of people.
DMaster: MAY: No worries.
He shifts his weight and is looking at you in the corner of his eye.
MAY: I think we maybe heading from where you just came from
He says with a smirk.
Vulcuran: Give him a glance
VUL: Ahh, the Witches corner, meeting up with the Animax entourage, and Alyndri?
DMaster: He nods his head.
MAY: Me and My companions have opted to join the Pilgrimage of the Order of Animax to battle the evil that has infested that land.
Vulcuran: VUL: I’ll do you one better. I was ass deep in the Witchs corner, on the doorstep of a Mistress that ruled over a bunch of people and land.
DMaster: MAY: Really? What in Animax made you go there?
Vulcuran: Scoff a little.
VUL: Made us? More like we crashed into the shoreline out on a mission, barely made it out with our lives only to find we are in an evil infested land. Took us a few days to get out. Luckily we met up with Alyndri who was just making camp…
DMaster: MAY: Sorry to hear that. I did sense a lot of sadness and tension, the short time I have been around your people.
Vulcuran: VUL: Wait a moment, I might have something of use for you. I will surely never use it again.
Go to my pack, grab the scroll, and head back.
DMaster: By now you can hear the place getting a bit more rowdy. A flute of some kind is playing, and people clapping along with music.
Vulcuran: Smirk a little hearing that. Walk to him, hand him the scroll.
VUL: here Mayred, take this map it could prove useful to you.
DMaster: He takes it and looks at it. As you glance over, he slowly looks up to you, handing the scroll back to you.
Vulcuran: Raise an eyebrow.
DMaster: He is looking at you with a bit of disdain.
MAY: This will not help me at all.
Vulcuran: Tilt my head
VUL: Why, is the map outdated?
DMaster: He turns the scroll, opens it and it is blank.
MAY: It was only meant for you. I can sense the residual ritual that was cast on it, and I can smell the perfume.
The big man all but jams it into your gut.
Vulcuran: Turn to him, angrily.
VUL: Excuse you.
DMaster: MAY: I can only get a few things, like Trynia. Is that the name of the Head Witch? Why would she essentially sign this rotten artifact with the term “my love?”
Vulcuran: Put head down, shake it.
VUL: Things happened. We needed to find a way out of the situation we were in.
DMaster: He is nodding his head, trying to look into your eyes.
MAY: But at what cost, Duke?
Vulcuran: Look up, stare out across the water
VUL: Part of my life. She gave me this scroll, and she had an incantation on us for the few days in the corner, that protected us from other witches.
DMaster: He scoffs a bit.
MAY: Was this deal struck in a bed perhaps?
Vulcuran: Turn and get in his face.
VUL: None, of your, concern. What I did, I own up to it and I have to live with it for the rest of my life. Right or wrong, it ended with the safety of my people here.
DMaster: The big man backs off, looks down.
MAY: My Apologies. I will take my leave.
Mayred turns and walks towards the large fire.
Vulcuran: Throw the now empty scroll across the sands of the beach.
DMaster: Walking back to the fire, they are cooking this fruit, in a skillet apparently one of the visitors had. Boblin and Carter are jabbering away and everyone is listening and laughing. The two are quite the pair, riffing off each other.
Vulcuran: Not in a great mood, go relieve a guard at the hut.
DMaster: You relieve a guard who quickly goes back to the fire that is alive with talking, laughter and singing.
Vulcuran: I will lean up against a wall and look out into the distance, do rounds that we planned.
DMaster: The night goes on. You can her Boblin spew out a few songs, and everyone starts singing too, the group seems to be having a good time
Vulcuran: Smile a little, if anyone deserves it, it is this group
DMaster: The “party” winds down fairly quickly. Goes from talking singing and laughing, to now a dull roar of a few people conversing. Plugr is with Victoria. You can see them just off from the fire.
Vulcuran: stay hidden from view, try to listen.
DMaster: You can’t hear anything of what they say. Suddenly Victoria, takes Plugr by his face and leans in. They kiss. You watch, and it is a good kiss. They both stop, lean back with dreamy eyes and a big smile on their face. She playfully pushes him and walks into the big hut. Plugr just turns and leans against the wall, smiling and in deep thought.
Vulcuran: Good luck with that one, thinking to myself, she is one hell of a spitfire.
DMaster: About an hour later a guard comes out and relieves you.
Vulcuran: I will go in, find my spot and go to sleep
DMaster: You go to your make shift pack, lay on the ground, put your head on the pack. Think for a minute but quickly doze off.
NEXT DAY 7:00 AM
Vulcuran: look around and get up
DMaster: The sun is on the horizon, you guess its around 7:00AM. Plugr is out building a fire for breakfast, some other people are out and about getting breakfast ready or just chatting.
Vulcuran: Get my things organized, pack away anything. Head over to Plugr.
DMaster: Plugr looks up at you
PLUG: here you go M’Lord
Vulcuran: VUL: Thank you.
DMaster: He hands you some cooked fruits and bread. The Knight nods then continues to cook with the help of a few refugees.
Vulcuran: Walk to the edge of the docks, eat standing up.
DMaster: The sun is now bursting across the horizon, the reflections off the water are spectacular. The winds are light and it is a little chilly, hovering around 65 degrees. It seems the ocean air is keeping it cooler.
Vulcuran: I will finish eating.
DMaster: There is a building, stone, that is by the docks. Vulcuran investigates but finds only moss, dead fish and some broken tools inside. It did not smell too nice.
Vulcuran: Head back, pee you.
DMaster: Mayred is walking up to you.
MAY: We must be going, I think we might make it to the camp by nightfall if we are lucky. Thank you for your hospitality, and your protection for the night.
Vulcuran: Stand there, a bit off, nodding my head.
VUL: It was no trouble. Take care and safe journeys. Give the Priestess our best.
DMaster: He goes to say something, but stops. He smiles, nods and turns. He heads to his friends who follow him up the makeshift path that leads to the road they were following before.
Vulcuran: Head to the campfire.
VUL: Let’s finish this up. Douse the fire and gear up. I want to be walking in 15.
DMaster: For the most part they were already done. The group putting away the little that they had, people now starting to congregate at the guard hut.
Vulcuran: Walk to the hut. Make sure I am armed. Once they all show.
VUL: Let’s move out.
DMaster: The first couple hours were quiet, as the early morning chill gets whisked away. The temperatures start to warm up. The sky is a vibrant blue, clouds passing by and the wind is just right. Then everyone is talking about last nights encounter with the funny men.
Vulcuran: I will just keep moving
DMaster: DM: Condensing. The group travels along the path and it gets bigger then smaller, almost impassable at points. Besides a few ships way off in the distance, some wildlife that Krinus wants to shoot for food, nothing happens. The party stops a few times. The sun is heading down on a beautiful day. It got a bit warm but it was manageable. Everyone looks pretty winded.
KRI: I was hoping for another godsend like that deserted village, but I don’t think it’s going to happen again.
Vulcuran: Nod head, look around for somewhere to camp.
DMaster: Plugr walks up.
PLUG: A good line of bushes and trees there M’Lord. We can make due behind them. We will at least be covered on one front.
He is pointing to the trees.
Vulcuran: Nod head.
VUL: Good eye Plugr, thank you.
Point everyone in that direction.
DMaster: DM: Condensing. The party sets up for the night. Vulcuran takes first watch and then is relieved. He falls asleep.
NEXT DAY 6:00AM
DMaster: You Wake up around 6:00 AM. Help get ready. No breakfast foods, only some rations that are getting dangerously low.
Vulcuran: VUL: Everyone, sorry to wake you, but I would like to get going. We are in the “sweet spot” where Alyndri thinks there is a decent sized Fishing town up ahead. I am anxious to get there in hopes it will expedite our journey home.
DMaster: Everyone is leaning up, stretching and standing up. Most sleep on the ground, no bedrolls or anything.
KRI: M’Lord I would suggest fishing sometime today.
Vulcuran: Nod at Krinus.
VUL: We are getting low on our rations. If need be we can fish later today to supplement the amount of food. Let’s keep rations to half per meal for the time being.
DMaster: Everyone grumbles a bit, but they seem to understand. Everyone is ready after about 10 minutes time.
Vulcuran: Make sure I am geared up. Wave my hand
VUL: Let’s move out.
DMaster: DM: Condensing. It is another day like the last, a bit warm, blue skies and a light breeze. The group walks for a good 6 hours and finally after much complaining, Vulcuran stops the party for a rest. With some make shift fishing poles, some improved with the help of Carter and Boblin, the party finds a decent place to fish. Some catch a few and Vulcuran catches a large one. A redfish snook, Krinus says, impressed. They down their half rations and head back out. Krinus has been watching Plugr actively avoid the Duke.
Vulcuran: Quickly skin the fish, gut it and put it in a bag.
DMaster: Krinus, looks over at Plugr, who is next to Victoria and then back to you.
Vulcuran: Shake my head, glance at him in the corner of my eye.
VUL: What is it Krinus? You have been hovering for the last hour.
DMaster: KRI: So what is the deal with you and Plugr, if you don’t mind me asking, you seem to be angry at each other?
Vulcuran: Scoff a little.
VUL: No.
Purposefully glance at Plugr and Victoria.
VUL: It appears our Knight is sweet on Victoria.
DMaster: Krinus slowly nods his head, as though to say “uh duh”
Vulcuran: Chuckle a little.
VUL: It is someone that will never ask me over for tea and biscuits, if you know what I mean.
DMaster: His eyes grow a bit, nodding his head, now understanding.
KRI: Hanging out with you, would probably piss her off and then its no cookies for Plugr.
Vulcuran: Turn and look at him.
VUL: Know your place 3-star.
DMaster: He stops, grows rigid.
KRI: Oh, yes. Sorry M’Lord
He says kind of anxious.
Vulcuran: Pat him on the back, smirk.
VUL: But you are not wrong.
Once we finish, head back out.
DMaster: The group moves, on this overcast day that was warm and muggy with little to no breeze. Only stopping 4 hours in for a pee, drink and eating the other half of their rations. Unfortunately they find another deserted shoreline village, but they did not want to stop now, being only mid-day. They move even further and luckily Krinus and his pirate girl caught some rabbits and found some berries. The party finds a place to hunker down, cook some rabbit, redfish snook and berries. It was a meager meal, but adding in another half ration, it was enough for everyone.
Vulcuran: Once everyone is secure, get Plugr over to me.
DMaster: Plugr puts away the makeshift plate, and walks to you.
PLUG: M’Lord.
Vulcuran: VUL: I am going to scout ahead. I’ll be damned if we are not close to this town. We are past the sweet spot now, and I am more curious then anything.
DMaster: He glances at you, gives you a look and a smirk.
Vulcuran: VUL: Alright dammit
Chuckle
VUL: It’s a gut feeling, ok?
DMaster: He nods his head and smiles. He waves Krinus over.
PLUG: Take Krinus with you, he can have your back.
The two of you walk further on in the fading sunset.
KRI: how far ahead do you want to go?
Vulcuran: VUL: I don’t know until we can just barely see camp, I guess.
DMaster: You travel far until the fires of the camp are barely visible. There is nothing to see, the same shit you have seen for three days now.
Vulcuran: VUL: I want to walk another hour, but I fear that is not the best decision.
DMaster: KRI: I agree sire.
You both turn and walk back. Entering in the makeshift camp, Plugr looks over and gives you a soft smile.
Vulcuran: Smile back and shrug my shoulders.
DMaster: The guards offer you the night off. You take it and fall asleep quickly.
NEXT DAY 6:00AM
DMaster: You wake up early in the morning, the sun is just on the horizon, no one is up yet they are all sleeping still
Vulcuran: get up and look around. I will get up and make breakfast for everyone
DMaster: There is nothing to make breakfast with. Your fish was eaten last night, you are all down to about 1 ration each.
DM:Condensing. The group mumbles and grumbles. The journey really starting to take it’s toll on everyone. After eating the half rations, they talk about really keeping an eye out for wildlife, or possibly fishing again for more food. They head out. It was only two hours time when Plum runs to you.
PLUM: Vool-Care-Man, floaters, moving zig zag
She is pointing down the coast.
Vulcuran: VUL: Did you just call me vool-care-man?
Walk closer to the shoreline, over bushes if need be,
VUL: Damn girl you got some eyes on you.
DMaster: Sure as shit, you see large boats sailing out, raising their sails, or they are lowering their sails heading into an area just out of sight.
Vulcuran: Walk back to the group.
VUL: Let’s get going, I think we might have found our town.
DMaster: Krinus’s eyes beaming, smile on his face.
KRI: By Animax I hope so!
Vulcuran: VUL: Lets get, should be another hour or so we will be close enough.
DMaster: The party, now all excited, spirits risen, are walking with purpose. After an hour and a half, a small village offset appears. The group walks by, many of the residences stop and look, watching you walk by. The further you walk, the better the path becomes. It is now a full blown road. Some wagons a few horse riders go by. Eventually you see what appears to be a very large city sitting on the coast of the Othellian sea.
Vulcuran: VUL: I guess this is the quaint little fishing town?
